I am so impatient ;-) After having paid for the chips, I am really excited to get them ^^ Josh Josh Josh ;-) ^^

looking forward to seeing how the next batch turn out... love the colors and the price is right, but I'm with a lot of other people would love to see a deeper crown and a lot less or even no crosshatching. We live in a society of instant gratification sometimes its good to remember that there are things worth waiting for :-)

The trick is to buy more chips in the meantime!
I just purchased another 500... of these chips lol. Even goofed on the count... math too late at night not so good. Hopefully Josh can rectify with my followup email.

Here are the chips with changed mold. No more cross hatching and deep crowns. I told them to make the purple chip just a little darker but they did not follow orders and flipped the v and base colors. I actually like the the new purple better but can switch back to the other purple if you want.

damn, those look fantastic, Josh. i don't think i've seen colors that bright - the green, the orange, the yellow - on china clays ever. and very happy to see the deep mold and no crosshatching.

very interested in picking up some samples when they come in.

EDIT: the more i look, the more i'm digging that orange. would make a great slightly non-traditional $5 imo.

wow - these are looking great. I would just be concerned about the potential lack of contrast between the black and new purple chip.

The removal of the crosshatch looks really nice as does the mold

I would prefer the lighter purple, the dark is a nice color, but too dark.

Is that bevel going to remain? Id prefer sharper edges.

still happy whatever you do :) Need them lol ^^ Green - Black - Orange - Yellow and white for me ^^

I think in the splashed pot there is easy distinction between the 500 and 100. But I didn't order those so I should probably keep my opinions to myself.

Very happy I ordered a set! I'll probably miss the crosshatching but the mold looks fantastic and if that's the trade-off I'll take the better mold.

Have to resist ordering a set for tournament play.......

Great job Josh!

Look good! I've been looking for chips for my cash set.. might have found them, won't have the cash to order anything till next month :-| hope the price doesn't creep up too much.
Colors and mold look amazing!

They look great! I need sunglasses to look at that orange chip. :D

Love the updates on the mold! Love the color's in general, too. My only question at this point is the black and purple both being pretty dark, but even if they stay as is, I think the set could be shipped right now.

*waits for shipping notice*

I was gonna pass but those are looking pretty fresh. I might be in for a travelling tourney set but I'll probably wait for final pricing after they arrive rather than pre-order discount. I assume after all this work you will be making sure they are stocked for a long long time :)

Josh, do you have the actual chips in-hand, or just photos?

These are starting to look more and more like plastics, and less and less like china clays. Curious as to how the actual chips look, sound, and feel compared to other china clays.

The splashed pot pic puts that to rest - and the edge spots give extra differentiation.

I'm thrilled with these.

They also appear to be taking under ideal (lightbox?) lighting situation - not to mention the purple in particular looks wildly different (darker in the 2nd pic) in the two most recent pics - at least it does on the three displays on which I've viewed them. I didn't mean to get folks all riled up over this. It looks like they are shaping up to be great and I'm looking forward to ordering my blanks :)

I know these look too good to be true BG but these are the same clay chips as CPS, Milano & Pharaoh.

Thanks, Josh -- good enough for me.

Deeper crowns are definitely an improvement.... and probably worth losing the crosshatching.

I'll go with whatever you decide on the purple, but that original mock-up sure was nice. For folks planning on a purple T500 and a blue T5000, the latest version is probably better.

The new purple $500 looks great. Seems like there is plenty of contrast in the splashed pot pic. I just need to figure out where to fit that orange chip into a tournament set.

Orange is probably gonna be either my T1000 or T5000, with yellow filling in the unused slot. Never cared for brown chips, and never cared much for pink/green combos, either. Red likely to be T25K, although blue might get the nod if I don't use it as T500.

Holy crap, those $1000 yellows and $25 greens are absolutely amazing colours. I don't need these. Why do I feel like I need these :S

Loving the new mold tweaks. Heaps better.

I think losing the cross hatching is just a good in itself without the need to be balanced by anything else. The cross hatching on the CPS is what kept me from getting a set.

I am considering green - black - red - yellow - orange for T25 thru T5000

Actually just found my original notes on these.... looks like I'd planned a 5-chip dual-use set (either imaginary decimal points or all denominations in ¢). 1000-chip set (200x of each denomination), using the following colors with custom labels:

green 25 (25¢ or T25)
white 100 ($1 or T100), alternate color = blue
red 500 ($5 or T500)
yellow 2000 ($20 or T2000)
orange no-denom (5¢, T1000, or T10K)

Now wondering if black would be okay to use as the 100 chip (black $1's?). I do have some Silks dollar chips that are black, and the crown black chip is one of the nicest in the entire lineup. Blue is probably the least confusing for both uses, but it sorta pales in comparison with either the white or black chips.

Under consideration was using Cali cash colors, also a dual purpose set:

red 25 (25¢ or T25)
blue 100 ($1 or T100)
yellow 500 ($5 or T500)
black 2000 ($20 or T2000)
white 10000 ($100 or T10K)

However, this lineup seems to be possibly more confusing when used for tournament play.

I was going to pass on these too...but they are looking really really nice. Removal of the crosshatching made the difference for me. The colors are fantastic!

Love the removal of the cross hatch! Dammit now I want more...
