Anything other than a circle inlay shape looks awful!

I like it hot just one click below plain pain.
Eyes and nose running, of course.
Some burning next day on the exit point is inevitable, but life is short.
:)
I used to be like that. Loved the burn. Now, I like it spicy with dynamic flavor, but I don't like being maced in the face with heat. My young days are long ago.....

Progression, colors, and dirty stacks don't matter as much as people pretend across the lower denoms.

Specific to my subjective experience and small table time, but at every local game no one has ever misinterpreted someones general stack size (even if their stack is laying in 3 piles across 3 seat postiions), no has ever accidentally thrown in $5-15 more than their intended bet and worried one second about it, etc.

"oh no, can't use that set, might accidentally lose a $5 in those $1s......." yeah okay

An incomplete cash set that also serves limit is tilting, but much more useful for many home games.

Having a 200/4-600/200/100/xyz type set is great, but if you're table has under $8k on the table, generally I don't ever see a $100 hit that table. It probably makes more sense for those homes to have 1200/4-600/200 (probably don't really need those 200 all that much either).

I get the needing the full set though. Tilting otherwise. Just surprised how few limit sets I see when it kinda makes sense to have them - 2 sets in one!

That all makes sense, but most people don’t play limit. I like limit. It’s fun. But it’s not very exciting. And people are addicted to the excitement.

Yeah that's so strange to me, but probably just part of being a hold em novice. As everyone knows I'm a gambler, hell my favorite way to waste money might be roulette. So addicted to the excitement is my name, and I find DC limit to be 1000x as exciting as no limit hold em.

When every single hand is a family pot, when $16 on the turn doesn't push one single person off their hand, and the river is quads over boat over boat over flush - I don't see how people don't get addicted to that excitement!

Controversial Opinion: Give me shorthanded DC Limit over a full table of NLH any day of the week!

@JMC9389 @Irish

It’s about time someone said something controversial lol

Gtfo with them yellow backdrop cards!!!

Not really controversial. More like..... just wrong. ;) :ROFLMAO:

You'll eventually come around. I had to dig down to the very bottom of my card drawer just to prove it, but here's exhibit A:

I can honestly say I never even knew this was a thing or noticed it before now  :ROFLMAO: I do like the yellow tint better though

I was wondering what you guys meant. I thought the whole card face was a yellow tint. I can confirm they aren’t bad at all

Heck I think most of my cards have the yellow back, I never really noticed

My eyes are bleeding looking at these awful cards! Thankfully those chips are bringing me pure joy and happiness.

If the pips are going to be boxed, then - judging from the pictures posted here - giving the box a different background from the frame is good.

but

The pips look better without a box.

Good assessment. I don't like the boxed in look either...but its mostly that god awful yellow tint :vomit:. First time I brought them out all of my players were like WTF did the edibles just kick in LOL?!?

As far as the yellow boxes on the card faces go, my controversial opinion is that the only things that matter about cards are the stock and the pips. The backs? Couldn’t give a crap! The faces? I only look at the pips.
