Controversial Chip & Poker Opinions (5 Viewers)

The fuck man. REPORTED.
I've been having a rough morning and need a donut. But just having a donut isn't good enough; I have to earn it. So I said, "Why don't I post a controversial opinion and bet on who's gonna be the first one to want to murder me".

I get my donut ...

...... When did reported mean "I wanna murder you"

This seems like an escalation....

Hah, fair enough :)

I was just playing with the Royals on Sunday night and the shuffling was soooooo nice; I came home and shuffled my Outposts and it was sooooo close, but the Royals took zero effort to get the perfect recombine at the end.

Anyway, thanks for only reporting me and sparing my life...

Wait.... I went and got my stabbin' bag and gassed up for the trip to NJ...

To be fair I purposely cut down my ES set to 2 racks of $1s and 2 racks of $5s to force more use of colorful higher denoms. Also I hate the $5s.

Not controversial. I would have loved an ES cash set, but the $5 is an absolute dog relative to the rest of the lineup.
To any of you who hate your ES $5s, I'll be happy to "dispose" of them for you. Send me a PM.

If anyone wants to make me an offer for my entire ES set as shown (I can keep the ESPT) I’m all ears!

Don't you murder everything you touch?
No.

Pretty much anything better than the cheapest of dice chips will be a big improvement (and enough) for most homegames. I obviously love the high end stuff, but honestly this hobby is pretty ridiculous, and we have pretty much all lost our minds  :ROFLMAO:

Alright, enough writing. Need to get back to shuffling some beautiful small clay discs.

It’s probably been said but I prefer playing with other peoples customs than Paulson chips.
I pretty much agree here…

With Truman’s House being checkmate as my favorite custom set, period, which also happen to be in those sweet sweet Paulson flavors…

I agree but that Sam guy has yet to invite me to a game to play said customs!! Dreamy stuff in this man's chipping cabinet!!
I said other peoples, not mine. There’s very little evidence on this site that mine even exist. In fact maybe they don’t exist at all. Maybe it was all a dream……

so i had to play with dice chips recently and in all honesty they weren't that bad. i have worked in 2 London casinos and the cash chips at both properties just get stuck together. whenever i try to cut chips, it feels like someone has smeared a bunch of glue in between the chips, making it very difficult to cut. dice chips overhated. i also have a bit of love for them since they were the first chips i ever played with.

You sir, win the internet today. Congrats.

I believe that is called hooker juice.

Mods, can we get a time-out for "not that bad dice chip" please?? ;)
Yep. It doesnt feel like a real casino if I can't lift a 5 stack with just the top chip. Forget any chance of shuffling

Fracs… Schmacs. The obsession is completely overrated.

And the people with crazy spotted NAGB milled and labeled grail chips as fracs in a vintage casino set… nope.

I said it in this thread a long time ago but expensive plastics are the exact same as cheap slugged chips when it comes to slipperiness and weight, except the finishing is a bit nicer. People will say they “stack well” and it’s bull - I’ve got samples of every expensive plastic manufacturer and they slip and slide all over the place. I’m not a stickler for stacking like bricks (I own BJ roulettes and love them) but I’ve always found it funny people hate on how heavy slug chips are and then buy 14g Abbiatis for $2.50 a pop.

Edit: I’d totally own a set if someone gave them to me, but I wouldn’t pay the price for them. I think cards mold or even China clays are more enjoyable to play with.

Kinda hard to beat Monte Carlos when it comes to plastic .

Everybody knows it, nobody says it.

(My controversial take)
