I don’t like skeletons or skulls or anything that I see as celebrating death on poker chips. I also don’t like them on T shirts or tattoos or motorcycle gas tanks etc. I also don’t understand why people like them, it always makes me think they are trying too hard to appear tough.

Right? I mean, I like colors too, so I kind of get it. But I can’t help thinking that if the NAGB chips came with JACK inlays on them, they’d be selling for half as much. (And let’s be honest - nobody, I MEAN NOBODY, bought any of the stars chips because they loved the inlays.) But the mystique surround those chips, has probably doubled their price. Somebody in marketing should write a paper.

Pacific Star is the best set of the lot… and probably the cheapest now.

1) Denominations are unnecessary for home sets unless your regs’ average IQ is below 70

2) Ceramics are all garbage

3) Ditto all house molds

4) Collecting singles is good therapy for OCD sufferers, and nothing else
