CPC Set Under Construction -- Pillage & Plunder (1 Viewer)

Thanks much for the comments, bivey. What you say does make much sense... my thought process:
But if the charcoal chip is your marquee chip, you might consider more color. You want people to take notice of the pattern and let the spots pop.
This does make sense and is why I previously had the current T1000 in the T5000 position.
I like the pirate theme colors (Oakland Raiders-esque) of the chip, but maybe at another denomination.
I actually designed it to be the bounty chip but once it was finished I liked it so much it seemed a bit of a waste to not see them in stacks on the table. Believe me, I would love nothing more than to place it in the T100 slot but using a L9 that early would cause the cost of my set to balloon from around $2000 to >$5000 :D
I think you are ok with charcoal and lavender if the spots pull the base colors apart a bit.
I really didn't think there was an issue but figured it's always better to ask the experts opinion :)
For example, keeping your lavender chip untouched, a bright yellow, orange, or green on the charcoal. Even a blue could do the trick.
I just love the full blown pirate look to the chip... pretty sure I would like it much less replacing any of the three colors. I feel the gray is really going to pop through both black and charcoal.

I do like my previous attempt with DG yellew + butterscotch at the T1K and the current T1K at the 5K position. Still a good bit of playing around in the designer to do but worst case I may just drop this 5K back into it's original bounty chip position. Thanks again for the input!

Added the DG yellow back in as T1000 and dropped the dark chip to the bounty slot. 95% certain this will not change.

I have also added $500 and $1000 chips to my cash set. Won't be showing mock-ups of these chips, have to wait for proper pron. These two denominations will not be included in the sample sets although I will be giving a couple of them away through contests.

Phase One is over on the inlays, the finals tweaks are starting :)

Some random thoughts after reading through the entire thread for the first time:

Love the inlays. Cash set lineup is coming along nicely. May be my favorite quarter ever.

re: tourney set
Moving the charcoal chip to bounty status makes the most sense to me. I'll take a barrel of 'em if available.
I know you like the T5000 colors, but that cash quarter is so awesome I'd be tempted to mimic it here.
I really liked the earlier yellow T1000 chip with blue. Current version is okay, but I thought the blue spots really made it pop.
Only other real change I'd consider making would be at the T500 slot. I tend to like alternative colors there, and would play around with dg pink and blurple to see how they fit with the set.

love the top row

May be a tough request with DG Tiger being so new but can anyone provide stack pics that combine DG tiger with light green and/or DG green? I am struggling a bit to finalize which green to use on the T5000.

Getting close...

Any opinions on denomination colors? Requested to see red, orange and color matched and received them today:

Of these I like the color matched on the back (black inlays) but really not so much on the front. Between the red and the burnt orange I actually prefer red.

Any other thoughts on colors to try out? Would it be a really bad idea to go with a set color on the front and color matched on the back? :D

I dunno. Red denoms for me. Multicolored is too froot loops.

Orange/Gray quarter pie is hawwwwwwtttttt!

You're right, you're right, I know you're right. Need to stop trying to get fancy.

Post-PayPal fiasco update:

Bottom line, regardless of the rational that I will get the cash back come September, is that I just can't bring myself to fork over five grand after feeling like I was trading odds and ends for the two CPC sets. May not make sense but it's the principle of the thing. Obviously I'm not going to sit back and not order anything... my excitement over the last few months certainly won't allow me to do that :D I've been trying to find a way to flip the PayPal thing in to a positive and I feel I've found a way to do just that. Being that I have little use for a tournament set I am nixing it for now and am ordering a smallish 700 piece cash set (100/200/300/80/20).

On to the positive... the cash set has been more or less set for quite awhile now and aside from a very minor tweak on the 1/8" spots on the $5 (canary to DG Saturn) I've not felt any desire to change anything. The tournament set is a different story, the current mockup only has one denomination and the bounty unchanged from what I've posted here last. I am set on the 25/100/500/bounty now but I only THINK I am going to love the T1000 and I am struggling between two completely different T5000s.

So what do I do? Well, the solution to many things when it comes to chipping is to get samples so that is exactly what I am going to do. CPC allows a one different chip for each 100 ordered with no minimums per specific chip. My cash set is five denominations and with extras it comes out to 750 chips so I am going to order a barrel of my T1000s and a barrel of each design of the T5000s. Best case scenario is I love the chips as-is and have but to decide which T5000 I love more. Worst case scenario is I hate the workhorse T1000s and PayPal's screwing saves me from making a mistake I may regret :)

I will probably get all four of these made, any other ideas? Using the banner from the inlays with "Dealer" on it really doesn't work well due to shortness of the text.

I prefer the placement of DEALER on the top and bottom left, and would like it even more if it followed the curvature of the button. I'm not a fan of DEALER in red.

Mockups received today. I am having trouble posting pics from my phone but have to say these win and it's not even close :)

text them to me and I'll post them if you want. I've only got about 10 minutes before I'm taking off.

Sent, thanks. My final mockup request is to see the latest ones with red text.

Tan button is the obvious winner but I will be getting a variety

Anyone know GOCC 63mm minimums per design/per order off the top of their head?
