Thanks much for the comments, bivey. What you say does make much sense... my thought process:
I do like my previous attempt with DG yellew + butterscotch at the T1K and the current T1K at the 5K position. Still a good bit of playing around in the designer to do but worst case I may just drop this 5K back into it's original bounty chip position. Thanks again for the input!
This does make sense and is why I previously had the current T1000 in the T5000 position. But if the charcoal chip is your marquee chip, you might consider more color. You want people to take notice of the pattern and let the spots pop.
I actually designed it to be the bounty chip but once it was finished I liked it so much it seemed a bit of a waste to not see them in stacks on the table. Believe me, I would love nothing more than to place it in the T100 slot but using a L9 that early would cause the cost of my set to balloon from around $2000 to >$5000I like the pirate theme colors (Oakland Raiders-esque) of the chip, but maybe at another denomination.
I really didn't think there was an issue but figured it's always better to ask the experts opinionI think you are ok with charcoal and lavender if the spots pull the base colors apart a bit.
I just love the full blown pirate look to the chip... pretty sure I would like it much less replacing any of the three colors. I feel the gray is really going to pop through both black and charcoal. For example, keeping your lavender chip untouched, a bright yellow, orange, or green on the charcoal. Even a blue could do the trick.
