Custom artwork group buy. US/CAN CARDS MOLD (11 Viewers)

Cards mold is understated and more general symbol of gambling or the card games I played with my late grandmother.
Reminds me of the diecard mold. Never like it, either.

Well those are busy, the cards have faces and it has dice. If you can't see the large artistic difference that's a you thing. I think you might have been traumatized by them.

You shouldn't buy these. You don't like them.

Updated Main post. Please tell me if I am missing anyone. Thank you.
Thanks for that. Looks like there are plenty of color options available. Can they give you a CMYK code for each color on those color wheels? That would help a lot.

Also, do you know costs for each plaque size? And are the minimums still 25 for the plaques?

I have a feeling I’ll be a lot closer to 1000 chips than 600

We need to get a specific cost breakdown (based on a 10,000 cards mold chip order) of the factory quoted price per chip, total order shipping charges, 15% tariff on Chinese imports, and the name of the supplier/vendor for the group buy.

I'm assuming reshipping costs will be in relative alignment with the cost of USPS priority mail flat rate boxes. Is this correct?

You should be able to use Illustrator if you have it and grab the Hex Code, which is easier to input since it's just 6-straight characters to one, and use https://www.pantone.com/color-finder/ to find the exact name of the colors used. Not sure if the vendor uses Hex or CMYK codes but they at least do use Pantone color names last I spoke with CS.
Checking on codes and plaques. I have a pdf of this which is more visible. If anyone wants it message me I can email it to you.

Do you think maybe I could send you over the AI/PDF of some of the final-revised Aces chips that Bosco had officially changed to? Although I did change the Primary 1K chip to be like the design of the original here but changed the edgespot colors for supposedly the better, lol.

I do not have Illustrator. Do you have the hex codes that correspond to those color wheels?

I don't need these. I don't even really like the cards mold; I think it's kinda cheesy (especially compared to the diamond polyclay mold). Probably getting a huge set anyway.

My thoughts as well. The card mold is too “on the nose”. I am a photographer and always disliked other photographers’ logos with a camera in the logo. Same reason.

Yet this is still a great value and opportunity for full customs. I would regret not pulling the trigger.

Sounds like we should get a custom mold. If we spread the cost across 20k chips it’s only 10 cents :)

Cards mold is very on the nose for me too. But the diamonds mold seemed too busy for me to like them better

In the end I am fine with the cards mold in this situation. I still much prefer this over the “no mold” mold. This is a cheap, easy, fast full custom. I worry this runs the risk of becoming Bosco’s Aces part 2 if we don’t keep the reins on this thing.

That was more the fault on his part not being able to manage handling orders since he had never had any experience doing so before, as well as practically having a mental breakdown and having other things he gave attention to in his life . At least this is being ran by someone with competence and experience with the vendor.

Sure. Although I think he would have been able to manage it better if he just sold his stock Aces set instead of opening it up and trying to create an a la carte custom set designing business and seemingly entertaining lost of requests for changes. And at some point I thought he was considering selling different molds. I think Bosco didn’t set a manageable scope at the outset and it got away from him.

Anyone can use my already finished artwork. Shown above. I just didn't thinking anyone would want my custom set for their own.

Or use ACES artwork already done
Interested!!
Happy to use aces art work but would like to change some denominations on some chips. That possible? Thanks

10 cents a chip is more than a 30% increase. I'm into these because of the low cost. I suspect others are as well. Custom mold sometime down the road? Great idea! But for this order I'm perfectly OK with cards mold as I believe many others are. Sean has put a lot of time and work into this. Maybe someone should start another thread for discussion of a different order with a custom mold.

Exactly.

I think most of us are hopping on this because it is already set up and we can easily customize off the base set.

I think you’d lose a lot of interest if you start pushing time lines and raising costs a significant percentage. I’m waiting on artwork for a CPC set I’m going to get. I’m getting these because they are cheap and relatively short timeline compared to my CPC

Yeah a 30% increase in price takes this from "don't need them but give me 1,000" to "do I really need these? not really"

If anyone is curious I have gladly sent the link to others if they want to get the DIAMONDS mold or discuss with the supplier to get a new mold made.
If you want a complete breakdown you're going to have to wait. I want to make sure we get over 10,000 and that everyone has their art. There is also a possibility with everyone having to get the art done the price of shipping could change.

Looking at the rough math I have done we are under .30c for the most part. If this is a problem feel free to message me. If this isn't open or specific enough feel free to do your own group buy.
Any questions feel free to message me. If you are piggy backing on another person's art please put both of you in the message.

OH- I also want to make sure a person who was ordering 2400 wasn't paying the same shipping/tariff costs as the person buying 100. That doesn't seem fair at all.

Be cool

Group buys are all about transparancy and accountability, managing expectations, and minimizing problems and surprises.

There is no such thing as posting too much information -- even if just preliminary estimates or rough figures -- but lots of downsides to posting too little, or not answering legitimate questions.

I'll post this in the OP as well. I live in Omaha and if you live in some surrounding state and plan to drive through you can waive shipping and pick it up.

Sure they said - " THE design can check the PANTONE COLOR , " so yeah.

Edit this in main. I can also send people an email on the price list break down if you feel like ordering stuff yourself.
