Empress Star and Aurora Star Poker Chips (4 Viewers)

Wow! Quite the discussion and an interesting read to say the least.

Actually this had nothing to do with the boat chips. I had to do with issues over the sale of the Native Lights chips.

And anyway who says Jim has stopped selling to PCF? Seems that the sales are few and far between due to the nature of the business. Casinos only closer or clear out their existing chip inventory every so often...

Unless there has been a non-PCF sale that I'm unaware of...

It is amazing at how far off some people are. Those look like Cliff notes from someone who didn't read the book.
Kinda hard to read the book when we only got a few excerpts here and there, and will never be released.
In that case, one would wonder about your qualifications for listing cliff notes in the first place. o_O

Hopefully someone qualified will provide a more accurate summary. If there's already one in another thread, feel free to post the link.

As things stand, it's accurate from a non-participant point-of-view.

-What could've been an archive for the boat chip discussion goes down in flames as the creator of the website belittles a member that is in law enforcement, going as far as to post his personal info in certain threads. A BIG no-no. He tries to sell/pass it on but no one wants that clusterfuck. Chipdonkeys.com is dead.

I hadn't kept up with the other forum so didn't know, but looks like that site is gone now.

To which anyone that participated can feel free to add/edit/sticky as they see fit. Doubt that'll happen anytime soon though, if ever.;)
I had posted tons of information on CD. I was mocked, ridiculed and villainized for it.

Instead, I have given the whole story (except names of the participants) to people that have asked politely via PM. The truth is out there, but I have no desire to get beaten up for being the messenger.

If I'm going to sacrifice myself, I better be getting paid.

After reading all the posts that have been going on on multiple sites, and having spoken with a couple participants, I think the cliff notes given by @SixSpeedFury does a pretty decent job of summarizing things. Chip Donkeys was a pretty good thing until the master donkey single handedly demolished his own site.

Here's my own take of the ES Tournament Primaries. 43mm Hybrid version.

Comments are welcome!

I would move the "Private Cardroom" text up a bit to kill some of the dead space. Maybe put "Cardroom" right on the center line of the chip.
I actually thinking of putting some sort of logo above the "Private" word, but thanks for the input. Bounty or Fivers also wanted?

And make the T500 white, as originally intended. The T5000 in that set design also had orchid spots instead of day green, too.

Care to enlighten us on what happened there?
GPI now has heavy restrictions on what spot patterns and spot colors can be used with white (or off-white) base chips. Basically no V patterns whatsoever, and most dark colors are prohibited.

Same reason that the ES cash $1 was changed from the originally-submitted P22 pattern to 818 (along with softer colors).

Undoubtedly due to an excessive production reject rate caused by the differences in melting temps of light/dark colors. Split spots, V spots that fall out, etc. BCC and ASM had similar issues.

The orchid spots actually looked pretty good, but were changed when the white T500 was replaced.
Several questions:
1. What are the actual colours of the chips themselves?
2. Are there any changes needed regarding the rolling edge, particularly the V and W spots, and the regular x18 and x14 spots?

Lighter hue needed on the Canary Yellow T5000 chip spot -- I think it was Hawaii Flower (and maybe Grape) T500 looks correct (White with Blurple/Lavender).

The darker spot on the Blaze Orange T1000 is Light Blue (which is actually dark), not Black. T100 is Charcoal with Hot Pink/Arc Yellow. The orange spot on the T25 is Carrot.

I'll have to dig up the actual colors used for all chips.

From having won a sample set as part of a PCF giveaway (everlasting thanks is due), and seeing it first hand, I have to say I much prefer the actual T500 as it came out. Beautiful.
