faded spade 3.0 coming out (6 Viewers)

I hear so many negative things about this brand but I still want to try them. I'm waiting to read the first returns

Get a setup ordered! It's one of the last remaining brands I don't have in my 25+ setup collection (still missing Desjgn).

I've always loved the look of the faded spades but stayed away after a bad set of V1s. Played with a buddy's V2s and they were great for us, so I'm excited to get a set of the V3s.
 
They told me it couldn't be done. So I asked them to cancel my order, which they did, then I submitted a new order.

Yes…the stiffest card ever made is supposedly perfect for automatic shufflers….despite the vast majority of major casinos have been using the most flexible card made for decades. I would imagine these companies deigned their product with Kem bridge cards in mind.
 
Fwiw,I was at ResortsWorld for the first time last week and I was pleasantly surprised at how good these felt when I realized they were playing with Faded Spade. I am personally going with Copag for my home game for now, but was surprisingly open to these after trying them.

I haven’t owned a pair just due to the past reliability/durability issues, but every time I’ve played with them I’ve loved the feel and look of them.

this is a popular opinion with the v2. They feel good to play with, but exhausting to shuffle and deal. I'm hoping for favorable reviews on v3

I took a chance, will review for you against v2 which I love as well. Then if you like what you hear, I can get a setup to you for less than they quoted I expect...

I assume the actual version would have been printed on the ace of spades. I wish I remembered now. Not sure when I will get to Vegas next, but at the risk of changing the subject, I think ResortsWorld is impressive and well run.

Well for me it's a 3 hour flight away.

But it's on the strip, south of the Strat, but North of and across from the Wynn.

I walked there from Bellagio in about 20 minutes.
 
I got an email from faded spade about the new 3.0 version. I bought v1 when they first launched and they were bowed after a couple hours play and never bothered opening the others I had.

As many know, I have a large collection from various playing card manufacturers….so when I have a game I usually rotate a few different setups in for a few hours or so each. The FSs made it one rotation around the table and everyone hated how they felt…the only card manufacturer anyone ever complained about.
 
They're taking their sweet ass time with shipping on these, huh? Ordered mine two weeks ago and still no shipping update. Anybody else?

Almost seems like it was a pre-order and they weren't in stock. Was that the case? I ordered so fast I have no idea.
