We have one we got for free when a local brewery closed. I have it in the corner of our rec room and I put a second monitor on it for my poker clock. I wouldn't have paid more than $20 for it but free was too hard to pass up.

The barrel-table in the corner looks nice. Add it to the bottom of a poker table, dining table or other, it would look like shit.

Featuring the barrel is the key. It's apparent purpose is the barrel. Being used as a table is secondary.

To wit:
You can have an F1 tire in a room with sports paraphernalia and it would be quite cool, a great addition to a sports room in a mansion, and an interesting topic of discussion, . Make it into a table, and you become redneck trash living in a run-down trailer, boring people with tales about how he could have made it if given a chance.
