Guns you own (7 Viewers)

My favorite gun to shoot at the range is probably my CZ Scorpion evo.
Agreed.

First time I shot one was in pistol configuration and thought it was awful. Then I shot it as a SBR and thought I should get one. Then I shot it as a SBR and suppressed and I knew I had to have one.

I went with a brace instead of stock when I got mine (cut off in picture).

My duty guns are a Glock 21 primary, my back up is a Glock 30 and my duty rifle is a Colt 6940 with an Aimpoint T2 red dot and a 3x magnifier, along with a lot more bells and whistles.

I also have a
Colt 1911 .45
Baretta 92F (an original made in Italy that I bought in 1985).
Baretta 92F Department issued
S&W 649 snub nose (my former back up)

I use to carry a S&W 4506 .45 but I gave it to my son who now carries it on duty.

Holy crap there's a gun thread too!?! Now we can share everything! I shoot IPSC and sometimes IDPA (though I let me IDPA membership lapse after the new rule changes).
For IDPA I shoot a Glock 22 .40 cal and for IPSC I shoot a CZ 75 SP01 Shadow. My Shadow has had major tuning and a different hammer and trigger dropped into it. So sweet.
I also have a couple AR's and just got into competing with them last year. So much fun.
After that I have a bunch of .22's, a sweet competition tuned Mossberg 930, and a mess of semi and bolt action rifles.

If I could stop buying poker chips I could go get a few cans!
Ypu guys are so lucky down there. We are fighting as hard as we can just to not have "military style assault weapons" and handguns banned in Canada. As it is you can only shoot an AR or a pistol at a range. Not even the notion of carrying a pistol for self defense and forget a "silencer". We would all immediately turn into assassins.

I did USPSA, and know a ton of the local three gun and IDPA shooters. Fun, but I just didn't have the ammo money weekly to really do it.

Just out of interest and coming from a place that doesn’t have guns... how much do they cost and how much are bullets?

I’ve only ever shot at clay pigeons with a shotgun so completely ignorant on this subject.

I always wondered that. more than chips I bet

Poor Scotland. If you are ever over this way, Tony, I’ll take you out for some fun. I took my Scottish friend, Helen, to the range a few years back. She smiled for a week and wouldn’t shut up about it!
I was in Roanoke in Virginia (don’t ask me why) and saw a gun shop. Was all excited, put on my best John Wayne American accent and walked in pretending to buy a gun “fo’ ma ranch pardner” only to find it was shut for lunch. I was so angry I could have shot someone ha!!

A good handgun can be had for $400, up to a lot more.

A good AR-15 can be had for $600, up to A LOT more.

A good bolt action long range rifle can be had for $600, up to many thousands. If you want to be able to put a hole through a hole at 1000 yards, you are looking at $3k to $4k with scope. It’s fun. I’ve done it.

Rounds...well, $0.20 up to $2.00+ each, depending on caliber and quality.

AR = assault rifle? For $600? Wow I thought they cost a lot more.
We prefer improvised weapons over here like broken bottles and pool cues... and they’re practically free. Always got an eye for a bargain us Scots...
