(I'm on the poorer end of the chip spectrum but one thing in favour of no-mold ceramics has got to be ease of keeping them clean.)

Nah... you just have to clean them once. The filth on these chips is probably 10 years of casino usage. I have never needed to clean chips due to home game usage.

Not as dramatic as some but before/after cleaning some harvested singles from my recent Vegas trip. The Orleans $1-$2-$5 and Golden Nugget $1 chips probably improved the most.
