How many NHL fans do we have here? (3 Viewers)

Nice to see him in the lineup tonight. I still can’t bring myself to root for the Flyers, but I will be happy for you and Oskar if they win.

This.

Cool for the kid. I don't hate the Flyers, but I don't want them to win because that would mean the Islanders are eliminated.

So meh.

Also, FWIW, the Isles have a rush app that connects Islanders fans to "watch" the game together... The main design of the app is a chat, which I don't participate in because it's mostly 20-30 year olds, I would guess.

But the app also has a betting feature. You start the game with 100 points and during the game, they ask questions and you can wager your points...Questions may be trivia or may be game related (who will win the opening faceoff, what will be next, offsides or icing, etc). Its always a two-option multiple choice. There are 1-2 bonus question before the game and between each period (doesn't cost anything to wager and you get 50 points if you are correct). And if you are ever out of chips (or have them all wagered) you get a free wager that pays 10 chips if you bet correctly.

The top 10 places get Islanders gear (first is a jersey, but also t-shirts and hats). Sixth through tenth place get a Mystery Prize.

I've run this app maybe 10 times while watching a game. I typically finish anywhere from 100-400th place, but tonight, I finished 8th! My Mystery Prize should be delivered in 3-4 weeks.

I watched Bossy Nystrom and crew play against the Colorado Rockies in Colorado in the early 80's we were able to meet some of them, we thought it was the coolest thing!

Trottier was my favorite player on those early 80's teams. Him and of course Billy Smith. But Mike Bossy was the GOAT. Nyatrom still seems to be pretty active with the team and seems like a really likeable guy. I also always liked Pat LaFontaine, mostly because he grew up in this area.

I didn't grow up in NYC and there wasn't Twitter and other social media (it even the internet) so other than the CBC broadcast of the playoffs every year, I didn't know much about the players -- only what I saw in the ice.

I have my Winter Classic Benn jersey out for show, since it's too damn hot to wear. Go Stars!

I went to the game, best hockey game atmosphere i have ever experienced

my sweater is Seguin #91

will be breaking social distancing tonight

Yes that's a big loss, but then again the team will take 2 less penalties per game.

Wonder if he reinjured the previous bump that kept him out of a few games. The team is certainly better with him in the lineup and out, and won the last 2 games where he came back. Tonight's going to be a nail biter.

Wasn't able to watch the Avs game due to it being played in the afternoon (stupid bush league NHL). Did listen to the third period and OT on the drive home, disappointing end to the series, really expected Colorado to win today.

our radio/Tv guy is great

Daryl Reaugh

I listen to him when they are on the radio instead of the national guys on TV

Announcers called the Stone line the "top line". Lol. No.
Smith and Marchessault are the best forward combo in the league. Doesn't matter if you put them with Karlson or Stastny. Best line in the league either way.
Only exception... maaaaaaybe the perfection line.
Smith also the best penalty killer in the world. (this from a guy who owns a Bergeron sweater.)
Acquiring him from FL one of the all time great moves by a GM.
Let's go VGK!

Vegas is a overall really good team, Canucks couldn't keep up.

Stone was a wrecking force in the series, I would get nervous every time he had the puck. Him and Pacioretty, never got that feeling from Smith and Marchessault though. Even though Marchessault had a ton of shots.

Mark Stone is a top 10 winger in the NHL. I don't understand how he's still really underrated. Although it seemed like a lot at the time, the package that Vegas gave up for him was light.

And holy schnitzel! What an absolute unit Alex Tuch is. Looks like a man among boys. I got to see his little brother Luke play for the national U-18 team last year.

How about old grey-beard Andy Greene with has 2nd GWG of the series? Let's go Andy!

I think the pass by Brassard surprised him, because he held on to it for a half second before shooting. Luckily, Brassard sold the shot so well that Hart was in the butterfly on the other side of the net and Greene had an open net.

But Greene got the 2nd goal. The first goal (and game winner) was Mayfield.
