How much better than faded spade does it get? (5 Viewers)

I just got them (the new Faded Spade X version) yesterday and opened them. Not a fan. They feel like paper cards and shuffle not that great. Very stiff. I agree with @redrobin, I love the design, and the way the face cards look. But I love my Broken Arrow cards much more by @justincarothers those were only $8 a set up, compared to these at $30 a setup.
Let me know if you're gonna throw them out, I was curious but didn't want to pay $35.

No, I have a shuffler, so the fact others said it is good for the shuffler, I'm going to try out in that. If they don't work, I'll give em away. You have first dibs.
Too generous, I'll still pay, I'm just enabling my own card addiction haha.

I've heard the same, my players love the art and feel of them until they have to use some muscle to shuffle em.

I’ve been rotating three setups of the latest FS poker-sized four-colors. Before that I was using three setups of the 3.0s.

I know people love to bitch about and talk down Faded Spade. I have to say they have been excellent for my game. And they are exceptionally durable.

So I’m quite new about 6 months into running my own home games. I got a set of faded spade cards and was wondering if other decks are actually that much better. After watching stuff on hobby fillip it seams like that guy has tons of different decks and I wasn’t sure if there was that significant of a difference.
I like the way plastic cards stay nice. I ran my first few nights with just bicycle cards and it was crazy that they started sticking before the night was over.
After finally buying some other decks I can say for certain that desjgn is a lot nicer in my opinion. They arnt as stiff nor as slippery. But until I tried a new one I thought the faded spades were just fine so I wouldn’t get a bunch of decks unless it’s something fun cuz faded spade lasted me about a year and a half of good games till I got curious.

I tried some Desjgn four-colors some years ago but quickly resold them. The reason was that the cardback colors (light blue and green) were too close together for comfort. I don’t knew if they have changed this since.

I have now used FSX regular and 4 color. I love the look, but they are too stiff and slippery for hand shuffle in my opinion. They go flying, and are hard to corral. I use them for the shuffler only. If I am going to do hand shuffle game, I will do Copag or hopefully soon Broken Arrow Professional. I said I liked the Broken Arrow Poker Sized before, but now don't that much since the clubs and the spades look so similar. I haven't tried Desijgn, but I have heard they are good. I just got Angel cards, and they are really nice, but bridge sized.

All I have are Copag, Da Vinci, and Desjgn. I'd try some FS if they fell into my lap but don't really have a need or desire to branch out atm.

If you're REALLY wanting to live on the edge though, you can take out a 2nd mortgage on your house and afford some Kems !

 :ROFLMAO:

They are def too stiff for hand shuffling and are made for shufflers imho
This. They're really nice cards IF you don't have to shuffle them.

Also Angel (Acetate) cards are the best plastic cards ever. A bit more spine than KEMs, none of the headache / rituals to keep them from killing themselves. Honestly it's hard to see in-between.

I legit love the new Davinci cards. $15 shipped for us folks https://davinciplayingcards.com/pla...ing-cards-2-deck-set-bridge-size-large-index/

I also really like Bullets as well! There's just so much out there, it's so subjective, so you're going to have to just buy $200 worth of plastic to find out!
