Hustler Casino Live (7 Viewers)

I can’t imagine how people would think that Garrett would just wake up one day, lose his mind, and decide to accuse someone of randomly cheating after playing thousands of hours of streamed poker without incident and being nothing but professional.

Even more unbelievable is that they would side with a no name random woman with essentially no credentials of any kind.

yup. And although we still don’t have any direct proof on the J4 hand, I’ll say that @ekricket was right - I think these people are animals so I believe they cheated in that hand.
 
Not one goddamn thing in that entire wall of text was evidence of cheating.

Evidence of all the people named in it being unsavory, untrustworthy, bad at poker, bad with money, and liars... yes.

Evidence that they cheated - no.

Regardless of your interpretation of recent developments, I don't know how anyone in good conscience can sit on a Hustler livestream now. I'm slackjawed that they're still playing and that it hasn't shut down while this investigation is ongoing.

Vertucci and Feldman are incompetent at best, it's also fair to say their practices are sketchy, and at worst, are complicit in all of this.

Non pro, legitimate thinking players like Mariano should avoid and/or boycott the Hustler streams. Count me in the camp that there's been something crooked with this game even before this incident. Vertucci's past is spotty at best, and I wouldn't put it past him for there to be nefarious things going on behind the curtain.

My brother said exactly this to me this morning. And he pulled out the Casino line:

Also, Garrett's legal team sucks ass, because they let him say this:

Evidence that they cheated would convince me. Evidence that they're the kind of people who could or would cheat won't convince me that they cheated.

I already know that they're awful people; they're poker players. No further evidence of that is necessary.

I’ve also posted in this thread that I’ve noticed numerous cringe scenarios with their games in the past… and the fact that they’re allowed to play in their own game is unfathomable to me.

In what casino is the floor manager allowed to sit at the fucking table??? o_O

The video footage is the most interesting part of Gman's post.
- The AQ vs AQ softplay was brought to light by Berkey very early on. Shady.
- Mouthing J8, not sure how compelling that is. Speculation about the testing the signaling? Could also be two acquaintances just talking about a hand. That happens often at a table. Also, I'm sure someone at the table noticed it. It was done in the open.
- Eric's flush vs Robbi's set hand. Rip trying to signal Robbi she's behind? Umm... 4 to a flush on board. It's not surprising she checked it back on the river.

The rest of his post is really just hearsay. Painting these folks as unsavory people - which is likely. But it's not yet actual proof of cheating. All cheaters are dirtbags for sure. But not all dirtbags are cheaters.

Hopefully more analysis of the stream comes out. That stuff is actually interesting. And hopefully HCL releases footage that wasn't part of the stream.

But the conjecture and innuendo in Gman's post is just gossip at this point.

One thing, does HCL actually do any vetting of its players? Or anyone with cash can play? Which I guess is not surprising, just a regular casino setting. But given the nature of how the profile the show has become pretty big, you'd think they'd be a bit more vigilant on doing a bit of KYC.
 
Wow! Pretty big developments from today. I gotta admit. I'M SHOCKED!!! SHOCKED I TELL YOU!!! This has really moved the needle for me. I've gone from thinking "She almost certainly cheated" to now thinking, "She almost certainly cheated"

If you were previously in the, "meh, this is a nothing burger and there's zero evidence of her cheating. I've seen much worse calls than this more times than I can count." camp, then this should be the light bulb moment for you which tells you, "maybe, just maybe there's a hell of a lot more to poker than I had previously realized if all these pros were able to know with near certainty that cheating had in fact occurred simply just by watching one single hand of poker play out."

If you've read everything to date and gone back to watch the video clips, and have seen the updates on RIP and Bryan, and yet you STILL somehow think there's no reason to believe they were likely cheating, then there's simply no hope for you. You couldn't make it through a corn maze with a bulldozer.

Nobody here is confused on what my stance has been this entire time. Which is that I think she almost certainly cheated, but have been (and remain) open to the idea that I'm wrong, and that she could have simply misread her hand, in which case this would all just be a nothingburger. But I've clarified countless times, that I don't believe this is what happened. I've simply said I'm open to it. I'm not a fan of absolutes. I'm rarely one to ever be 100% certain of anything.
