I'm not going to disrespect Jim by get into the "flipping" debate here or telling him how to run his business, but I will say this much:

I bought 2000 chips yesterday with the express intent of keeping about 1200 and selling or trading the remainder. Because of % requirements, this was the only way to ensure that I got the 200 snappers that I plan to (non-destructively) relabel as quarters for a two-table .25/.50 cash set.

Once I decide for certain what I'm keeping, I will sell or trade the rest at current market value. Given the state of PCF these days, I'd be a fool not to do that, because the guy I sell them to almost certainly will.

I was in and out in under a minute yesterday, and it was my first TCR purchase after switching from cable to fiber.

Coincidence? :ROFLMAO:

You know, with all of these casinos going for RHC, they could make the THC the home mold. ;) And then allow custom orders. Even if they had a minimum quantity of 100k, I'm sure there would be 3-5 GBs a year here.
Just a few new fantasy sets would keep us happy w the same old inlays

I'm pretty excited about the conversation in this thread so far, and looking forward to getting the question of flipping vs. market value resolved, unlike in every previous chip room sale thread before.
Funny enough, I don't remember much in the Majestic Star thread - but I could have simply been oblivious then.

I feel bad because @TheChipRoom provides SUCH an amazing service to this community. I know it can feel like sour grapes when one doesn't get what one wants, but, you know, life.

These are cool chips. I'm glad that @TheChipRoom is awesome enough to do this. I don't think I'd have the guts to wheel and deal for literal barrels of poker chips and then figure out the logistics of sorting, selling, and shipping them in such quantities. So, kudos.

i'm too tired to read through, i'm just gonna guess it's people complaining about them not getting the $5s.
This happen at every TCR Sales, it is like a by-product of the Sales.

Even the last Majestic Sales that is vastly less popular of recent years, people are complaining about the $100 and flipper too

In the case a friend hooks me up, I give them FROR, and if they pass, I still usually give them the profits and or split the profits with them.
He's 100% serious.

@Sprouty asked about some chips I had. I sold them to him at my cost, which was super cheap. I didn't have any FROR stipulations when I sold them to him.

He later decided to move them, and asked me first. Of course, I had no problem with him selling them.

Next time I saw him, he gave me my share of the profits. I never asked for it, not did he tell me that was his plan.

There are still good people on PCF.

I can understand people being extra upset this sale as the bear claws sold out in a minute. Gotta be some sort of chip room record. Though, no reason to criticise Jim in any shape or form. People were given clear warning that there was only around half as many chips as HSI.

Jim is a literal saint for bringing millions of chips to the consumer market that would have otherwise been destroyed.

A lot of you spend stupid amounts of money on chips anyway, paying aftermarket price for the $5s probably won't break the bank.

why change the rules as Jim has them set........

why, because some people didn't get what they want,
Everyone needs to remember that there is a huge difference between want and NEED(no one truly Needs poker chips as they do not help you survive day to day)

just so you know i didn't get what i WANTED either, but i am not going to come on here and start to complain, saying this is not a fair way of doing this, or try to tell a businessman how he needs to sale his product, he did a great job for a sales man, he got rid of ALL of his product

truthfully, with this many people WANTING these chips and others, there will never be a fair way to do it in ALL of our minds

Here is my 2 cents
if you are not happy with how it works out, stop trying to buy the from TCR sales and just go through the classifieds or post on the wanted list (notice it is called wanted and not Needed)

100%. If those same people got through, they wouldn’t suggest any changes and just replied with a “got ‘em”.

Also, please stop suggesting that this man raise his prices lol. God bless you Jim.

1. Excitement
2. Anticipation
3. Sale
4. Bitterness, Anger, Frustration
5. Redefining flippers and suggest new sale possibilities.

We will do this all over again when Jim starts his next sale.
i don't really remember people complaining during the jack cincy sale, but maybe that's because i didn't go for anything higher than the $500pri which i was able to get comfortably and still have. also dunno if there was as much demand for the jack chips.

wouldn't have made a difference if they were $1 or $2 a chip they would have sold out instantly y'all got too much money  :ROFLMAO:
