Ketogenic Way of eating... (2 Viewers)

I love drinking water. I easily consume 75 to 100 ounces a day. Plus another 20 ounces of coffee.
For me, extra water plus extra salt is a requirement to avoid cramps and headaches. I keep bouillon cubes at work, or I will take a pack of ramen noodles, throw away the noodles, and use the flavor packet to make a cup of broth. :D

You guys on the chaffle craze yet? Literally caused dash waffle makers to sell out on Amazon lol.
I've been making keto waffles for quite a while:

Mix egg and cream cheese with a stick blender, add salt, garlic etc (savory) or vanilla, cinnamon and sweetener (sweet), then used this batter to make pancakes or waffles.

The chaffle craze did get me to do the cheese-egg-cheese layering thing which really gets the outside crispy, though. I think I've had cheddar chaffles three times this week.

Those look delicious George! I’m going to try some of those!

Gotta do it man. Great discipline on a Friday night!
I've been busting my butt at work lately, so it was nice to stay home, make dinner, and watch a movie with the family. I made it for my wife and I, but the kids helped polish off the charcuterie.

I should mention that this batter is pretty thin, good for crepe-like pancakes. For flapjacks or waffles, I usually add almond or coconut flour.

I understand. Just getting off work now myself. 58 hour work week this week.
Gotta try those waffles, maybe Sunday morning. That picture makes my mouth water!

Ugh. Fortunately I haven't had to do that much OT, but only because I'm going nonstop while at the office, which means I'm fairly useless once I get home.

For the chaffles, I find that 1oz cheese and half a scrambled egg is perfect for my little waffle maker. Half the cheese first, then egg, then the rest of the cheese. Let it cook until the cheese is brown, and it will be nicely crispy once it's been out for a minute.

Serve two with a breakfast sausage patty in the middle and tell McDonald's to take a long walk off a short pier.

I wish I could find a part time job that only required 58 hours/week... I've been working 70+ for 16 months...
And -2.2 this morning!

And -1.8 again. Back to "normal"... Dunno what caused me to jump 3-4 pounds and stuck there for a couple days..

Just dusted off the ol' Sunbeam...

Basil toast and avacodo

So you shredded the basil into the bread batter before baking? That's how I do it, too.

Shredding leafy greens like kale, collard greens and chard into keto bread is a great way to get them into your diet, especially when some people don't like the taste/texture enough to eat them directly.

I wasn't trying to one-up you... Your job is more physically demanding than mine.

It's 7 days a week, and usually 2-3 days are from home, so its not as bad as it sounds.

The Walden farm sugar free syrup is pretty terrible, super artificial after taste. I see myself using the chaffle more as a sandwich or pizza. Curious to see how they reheat as a couple pizza ones would make a great work lunch tossed in the toaster oven.
