I have an oval sized dinning table that is 86 x 40. Any recommendations on the size it should be? I think the standard ~70inch length is typically a little too small.

Why not make it the full 86x40 and protect your dining table?

Just got a topper done for my buddy. His cat "Aniken" is a Scottish Fold and is always trying to jump on the table when we play, so this seemed appropriate.

You roll it up and tuck it away. It does not get dusty, and no the surface does not get impacted. It's a very smooth neoprene. Like a giant mouse pad.
