4 of a Kind
These are sexy chips.
One of my favorite set of chips. They look even nicer in big stacks.

These monochromatic chips tilt me. It's like they're taunting me with their no color boringness.
Your photo?
These monochromatic chipstilt meare awesome. It's likethey're taunting me with their no color boringnesstheir simplicity reminds me that you don't need crazy spots and lots of colors to have an outstanding set of chips.
I like crazy, but all I really need is a second color.Yeah, from my last Vegas trip. I almost exclusively play 2/5, but I played the 1/3 at Encore almost the entire trip as it was way too juicy to leave.
FYP.

Still, if I'd had a stack like yours in that picture about, I'm sure I'd feel differently about those chips.
Here's another stacks photo for ya.One of my favorite set of chips. They look even nicer in big stacks.

Honestly, it wasn't really the chips nor the big stack that made that 1/3 table hard to leave.
Now THAT'S a nice stack.
I just saw this on eBay and my first thought was that it was the most boring chip I'd ever seen. And then my second thought was, well there's a bit of color on the inlay - I bet there's been less interesting chips produced. So what have you got?
I'm at a loss for why somebody would choose to have a chip produced on the RHC mold and not make the most of it's obvious advantage - inlay size. Think standard size inlays are cheaper?

They can even make Paulsons resemble cheap dice chips.....

I think the newer NY,NY inlay has a clean, modern look to it. I don't personally care for it, just because I don't like dark inlays. That said, I think it's a nice contrast to the white chip. I don't like it, but if I didn't not like it, I'd probably like it. Ha!![]()
H&C is one of my favorite molds, but this chip? Meh.
And its not even that its so bad, its just that its such a step backward from the previous design.

Any step from a RHC chip to a THC chip is a step in the right direction, even if a turd is prominently displayed on the inlay.![]()

Here's my submission... the contrast with the fact that it was pretty much the biggest, nicest, best-looking casino buildings... really highlights the radically 'meh' chips:

Most people feel the same way at first. Chances are you'll eventually come around, too. Also interested in what people think about hot stamps. They seem to get love here and without being rude I really can't stand the look of them. I understand they are Paulson's but honestly I would rather have a china clay that looks good than a bland hot stamped chip.
