I know I wasn’t supposed to but I used a little Dawn, warm water and an electric toothbrush. Worked like a charm and the stamps are fine. Too much labor for all of them so I ordered an ultra sonic cleanerWhat's everyone using to clean these puppies? Never cleaned hotstamps and am worrying about damaging, but hot water/dawn dish soap isn't really doing much
Please post your results.Based on this, I'm just gonna stick them all in my dishwasher on "pots and pans" and let God sort them out....
.....I've made a horrible mistake....Please post your results.
I was just about to post my concerns over the heat and steam possibly warping or fading...hope that wasn’t the case.....I've made a horrible mistake....

Dishwasher high temps guaranteed to seriously warp chips, and likely also cause damage to inlays. Fading would be the least of my worries.I was just about to post my concerns over the heat and steam possibly warping or fading...hope that wasn’t the case
I put an sks in the dishwasher once. Never could get it to cycle cheap ammo. Not sure if that was the cause or not though.Im just playing.... I only use my dishwasher for dishes and firearms.
Sks should have been fine as long as it was only metal. Easy was to degrease metal if it's super dirty. Just gotta grease it back up after....I put an sks in the dishwasher once. Never could get it to cycle cheap ammo. Not sure if that was the cause or not though.
I just may have to see how bad a chip turns out.

What “brand” of magic eraser do you use? Is it a liquid or brush? If you haven't yet, do yourself a favor and get yourself a box of magic erasers for these puppies. I tried a rack with a brush and dawn, and another with warm water dip followed by magic eraser scrub.
The magic eraser not only got then sparkling with just a quick brush, but the scrub brush wasn't even getting the chips back to white after 10 seconds of scrubbing. Not to mention the torture on the hands with the brush.
Top: Magic eraser (2-3 seconds)
Middle: Scrub brush + Dawn dish soap (5-10 seconds)
Bottom: Casino usedView attachment 128455 View attachment 128454
I had a box of house brand from home depot lying around. HDX Easy Eraser is theirs. What “brand” of magic eraser do you use? Is it a liquid or brush?
Good way to warp chips. Even hot tap water can cause damage. My rule of thumb is if it's too hot for my hand, it's too hot for chips.Threw the chips in hot water

Surely you heard it on a podcast somewhere.Ask me how I know this
Wasn't too hot for my hand by a long shot, but definitely gonna be weary for the other 18 racks!Good way to warp chips. Even hot tap water can cause damage. My rule of thumb is if it's too hot for my hand, it's too hot for chips.
so many times I read about the Magic Eraser.
And only now I understand that this is a trademark of a simple melamine sponge.
