Disagree. 6 or 7 handed is fine for mixed games or even PLO variants. But there isn't enough variance in NLHE. There needs to be more hands in play to make any real money. I mean, unless you raise J9 pre and flat a 3bet, then flop top 2 and get it all in on the turn against QQ who doesn't improve...
This is just plain wrong.

Action shot from this weekend in Panama. Again.. dice chips :( I didn’t bring my BCC Capital Rooms with me here. But good news set incoming this week. Fingers crossed I get them before next weekend.

It does amaze me how people don’t seem to care about chips, cards, table etc

The guy who bought the dice chips was insistent on using different denominations than is standard (50c, $1, $5, $10) and also using different colors than what might be familiar. Ie: 50c blue, $1 black, $5 green, $10 red. Not to mention the dirty stack issues between the dark blue and black that are nearly indistinguishable. Lastly, he wanted to use paper cards and then complained when they were bowing and wanted people to peek different . I bit my tongue and enjoyed the game . But I promised to upgrade the chips and cards and reminded myself they will be here soon .

How do you guys handle this? Always make sure to host your own game and run a tight ship ?

If you’re at someone else’s game, it’s hard to do anything without coming off as a douche, unless you’re good friends. Otherwise it’s probably best to lead by example when you’re the host.

It's Monday, you know what that means!

So this was a game you hosted? But, someone else bought some chips because your good ones haven't arrived yet but also wanted to complain about trivial crap like how you peek at your cards? Then also wanted to use weird colors and demons that don't make sense? To be honest, it kinda sounds like that dude doesn't receive an invite to the next (or next few) games. I don't know what your relationship with him is though.

At my games that I host, I post a "House Rules" for everyone to see. Rule#1 This is my house, what I say goes. Please do not argue with me.
So far, when I say something is a certain way or whatever, I have had zero arguments. Maybe something to consider?
On the one hand, I can see "your house, your rules." But... If you have to ask someone else to bring the chips, they sorta get a say too. I can't host at my house, so I'm talking with a friend about getting a game going at his place. He'll be the host, but I'll be running the game. Of course, not with dice chips, and my sets have denoms and no dirty stack issues, so it won't be a mess like this one was.

A side note. Hero doesn't win every week. Last week he posted a $200 loss after seeing more sevens than an Ian Fleming novel. Four seven, jack seven, king seven, deuce seven. Etc.

This week Hero caught Aces against Kings and got paid $200 on the river after making quad fours against a player holding the nut flush.

and Congrats @Ben8257 for the big win. Always good to have you guys there. Sorry for the bad bourbon selection. And F EBray
The first pour was fantastic!! Whatever that guy brought from Colorado was awful! Haha

I try NOT to be THAT guy and to most people here that win might just be a turn bet... but in for $100 out for $720 was my best cash session ever... and who cares about the money. The company and comerodery of the game is what it is all about. Literally the perfect evening brother!

Haha I understand on Ebray... but also it was definitely his turn to hit a little "run good" not a better guy in the world that you would want for a home game!

Honestly just hoping Ms. @FordPickup92 has a bit of "run good" for this evening going into @krafticus end of the season Championship game! I feel like all of my run good was used up last Night... starting with a stack of 8k against several 26 - 28k stacks... cash game here I come baby! Lol

But seriously good luck to ALL of our fellow chippers in the end of the season game today! I will be nothing but a tiny speed bump in the way for others on their quest for the Final Table! Haha
