Monthly cash game tonight. A big thanks to @Joe Harris for bringing the beautiful chips! This is the second month in a row where we played a "kids hand" where they put in $1 of their own money in a side pot and everyone else could play the hand out after. I still faired pretty well despite losing to quads twice. In for $60 and out for $73.

I have been down the past couple weeks. This week started off the same and my best cards dealt in the first five hours was A10o. Atrocious. Down almost a full 4 BIs. Then in the last half hour every single hand was dual face cards or pocket pairs. Ended up positive 1.5 BIs. Wild swing. Unfortunately we were down to 4-5 handed at that point so I could only capitalize so much.

Wild game tonight! Took my non-denominated travel set and topper over to a buddies. Doubled up early, bled out for an hour or so, then tripled up, lost most of it in a big cooler, the tripled up once again right at the end in a big all-in. Also, we played ludicrous pineapple and had quads over quads - absolutely sick. Great night!
Got invited by a coworker to a game, "it's low stakes, friendly cash game" he says. We have been talking a little bit of poker strategy at work, so I know he's not terrible and figure the game should be fun. It was, but I have not experienced anything quite like it before!
All chips were 25c regardless of color. Buy in was limited to $20 (because that used up all the chips). You could not rebuy until you were at $5 or less, and that was limited to $20 as well. Cash plays, and one player was allowed to rat hole cash (I objected but it didn't go anywhere, he apparently loses a lot and they have been doing this for years). There were scheduled puff puff pass breaks after the kids were in bed, and a few hours in it was lots of shoving. In for $40 out for $93 and I have an invite for the next game
I really feel like nobody should complain about matsui or bud Jones chips being slippery after playing with several varieties of dice chips on a squishy playing surface.

I showered after don't worry.
I also forgot that it was a thing to bet by saying the number of chips. 8 was $2 for example. But then half of us also called bets by dollar amount. Half the table regularly made string bets and said things like 'i call... and then raise'. Color was quickly at the back of my mind.
