Playing with my mixed RHC set, an ace-high flush takes down this nice pot (sadly, not my hand!)

Another interesting hand with the villain taking down a small pot with A-3 vs my A-2. Great fun!

Cold deck all night. In for $40, out for $65. Could have been much worse.

Glad to say that my group of drunk, no attention paying, regular home game guys had no problems treating the Tropicana Evansville snappers as quarters in our game on Friday, even at 4am!

(Didn’t have time to remove the labels, tried overlabeling a barrel but it made them too slippery and wobbly, so left the chips alone.)

Great casino chips at a great price. Didn’t feel cheap or too heavy. Obviously not at all like clay or ceramics but like them on their own merits.
I need in on this game!!

Last Night was the first event of the 2023 season... Ladies' Night!!

I made chicken tacos in the pressure cooker with various toppings. Sides of corn, meat/cheese/pretzel, different corn, cheesy bacon, popcorn, and chip/dip.

Last year, we had a member donate a lot of cans of pineapple juice. What do do with it..... oh, pina coladas!

I might have had a few.....and used a capper from @illudene

The capper ran good, or I did, or the drinks did. Either way, the chips all ended up in my stack!

Being a fireman, the Franklin fire blanket caught my eye. I have a friend that works for them. We were volunteers here in Ca. in the mid 90's

I was finally able to restart my ~ weekly mid-week "beer and B.S." game this evening after nearly three years paused due to COVID restrictions at my office*. It was great to get a good chunk of the old regulars back and we slipped into the old verbal jabs, trash talk and general good times for the first time in what felt like forever.

PCA's in play tonight. Don't worry, we play these as micro-stakes, so nickel/dime blinds. The game is a lot smaller than it looks like from these pics! :ROFLMAO: Still some pretty cutthroat poker despite the relatively low stakes.

The very first hand back in progress:

My high point on my $10 buy-in.

Later on, after my lone add-on.

All told, in for $15, out for $14.75 and nearly four hours of cards with friends. The latter worth more than just about anything I would have won in money this particular game.

* I live in a small studio which works perfectly for me, especially considering how much time I'm away from home at the observatory. The problem is if I have more than two people over, anyone else will have to start sitting on someone else's lap. Not terribly practical for a poker game. My office in town allows me to host my game there, but had some pretty strict COVID restrictions for visitors that were relaxed before the holidays. I had proposed restarting just after the New Year to the group and they were all itching to get back to the game ASAP!

Cash-game night at a friend's house (not present on PCF) who bought his first clay chips set this year. Don't ask me about denominations. If I did not succeed in dissuading him from adopting shaky and useless ones, I succeeded in doing so for the second customized set he is currently designing. I think he has caught the virus that has affected us all. Without doubt you will see him arriving here shortly.

In for $300, out for $602

To see the true chips colors (he needs a new lamp, more so with his dark colored hell table...):

You mean there are people making CPCs and NOT on PCF?

I absolutely love the PCA set….. I definitely want to get a set. Love them.

So it begins...with Heads Up?

Couldn't get enough people to play tonight for the maiden voyage of my new Tiger Palace set but my old roommate/regular didn't leave me hanging...

$5 Sit'n'gos are better than nothing!

Normally I wouldn't post pics of Heads Up but I figured this time I would make an exception. I won the first 3 games & I got the feeling he was getting annoyed with me everytime I went to take a pic so I stopped. Then I lost the next 2 & we called it a night. Hopefully next Thursday @Godzilla28, @Big Money & @chrismurda can make it so I can break the whole Palace out!

It is fitting that these were used as a HU Tournament set for their maiden voyage. Congrats on the 3/2 win! Looks like you are practicing for our re-match.

Session end, found a broken soldier in my chip set. :confused I going to get a replacement and use this as a good luck charm / chip capper.

It look like someone must be very hungry and took a bite out of it

Couldn’t get much going on in the first couple hour, bleed down to around 20bb before I topped up another 100bb to the stack

Things change for the better in the second half after I won a huge pot when i got a 6 quads vs a Q boat.

Some stack pics along the session

...and that is why a hot dog roller is a useful piece of equipment for a poker game. It gives hungry players something to eat other than your chips!
