Hi all, fairly new here, so let me share some pics from my home games from Mexico! (I'm originally French by the way)

Nothing at anyone's level here, with the most basic chip set ever but I do intend to improve.

Yep, that's me boasting a 5-high straight flush, winning this 3.5k pesos bounty tournament!

Second time hitting a Royal Flush, clubs again! I got the two within like a 5-month gap.

Sh*t went down with these two hand sin heads-up! Flop start from the right. My hand is the one on the right. My friend slowplayed his trips, I think he'll always regret it now lol.

More stuff from my setup. Dealer button (the real stuff), Slowplay plaques (used for bounties and all ins).

By the way, I 've established a system according to which, beyond BYOB, I , as the host, buy the food of myself and losers, while winners pay for their portion of food.
Again, BYOB is only meant for exotic things (ice tea, milk, tequila) or exotic quantities (one whisky bottle per person).
I anyway provide a couple of bottles of whiskey and a couple of wine bottles, and rivers of Coke and other soda.

It seems to work.

Or some $25, it will be cheaper and also nice to add in one more denomination to the set
I’ve got two barrels of $25s, just figure they might be harder to come by (a few visible in that picture) than the $5s that are often up for offer lately. But more of my $25s would be way cheaper for me too, so if I see any, maybe so! Hah

A much tougher table tonight, with casino and underground cardroom regulars.
In for 240E, out for 225E, still at .50/.50

My results could have been better if I hadn't drunk all of that lovely shit:

:) :) :)
Replying to myself: forgot that @kerami has been a most worthy opponent last night. He even won some money:p
I ' m happy that he had a good time.
Being more sober than me last night, he lectured me (deservedly) about NOT getting married to pairs, however high :)

Awesome night with two friends. Played some limit holdem, Omaha and even Drawmaha. Those games are addicting! Nice little table I refelted with some friends, wasn't so heartbroken when a beer spilled. Custom set is still the coolest thing I've ever seen.

Players really didnt like the poker size COPAGs compared to the bridge size Faded spades from last game, just another data point. They like the thicker cards.

Does the “… at 50% face chip value” allow you to use higher denomination chips at a lower buy-in? Or is there a different reason?

Thanks!
Some of the sets I using do not have 50c so i used cash in/out at half the chip value

Also sometime i like to see more higher denomination in play

I have a fairly large fenced in yard and my family is very fond of canines, having had at least two dogs at all times during our (nearly) 30 year marriage. Recently some of my players have started bringing their faithful companions with them to poker night (with my blessing) and it is worked out well.

Here is Tully staring me down after I busted out her owner.

A colleague of mine suprised me out of the blue asking where he could get "a nice set of chips".
Unbeknownst to me he already built a table and was now looking to start his own game. I snagged an invite and got to bring my BR set as a guest set once again.
I was greeted by two familiar faces from the Bullenrunde with Lynn and Julian (2nd from the right) for those of you who are keeping track of my games. :)
Friendly stakes .10/.20. In for €20 out for €24. ;)

I looove the neon setup, did it come with the table or is it DIY?

He did it all himself except for the rail upholstery.
He's not entirely happy with how the game area sticks out of the racetrack and will redo that part and also wants to do several different base plates / playing areas to place the rail on top.
I'm pushing for a base entirely without a race track and a gaming suede from @T_Chan but I'm not sure how convincing I've been.
Having to slide your cards onto the felt to be able to pick them up is a big no no for me. ;)
