#1 Buy from Wal-mart, expect Wal-mart quality.

#2 You cannot afford. I don't care if you have Donald Trump money, you simply cannot afford. That is going to be one expensive-ass sandwich maker.

I like the rule. It makes sure the game going all night. It is only one table and they don’t use any kind of wait list.

Oh, I love the rule. It would just never fly with my game. I had players complain when I raised the buy in to $15, and some said they probably wouldn't come to our monthly game because they had heard that the buy in was going to be between $20 and $50 (which was never even a consideration). I'll keep dreaming of getting them to play 25c/25c for now  :whistling:.

(Don't get me wrong, I appreciate I can even get a game going, and I enjoy playing with my group...regardless of the stakes. (y))

Sometimes I really wonder why or how people keep lists for home games this big but maybe its because I come from the land of Indian casinos and 4 hour drives to Vegas.

Is there a time limit on that? Say I buy in once at 7pm, run well, and get coolered at 2am by a few bad hands. There are 4 players left. Does one HAVE to rebuy?

The game only goes until 1am. But anytime before final orbit, then yes a rebuy is required.

Personally, I don't like the rule. My money, my decision. Never had an issue with the game not running long enough. Requiring 3 buy-ins, but must use 2... Is that so if someone is on tilt you can bleed them for a third?

What other rules are enforced? Must call the host's all in? Must do a shot after losing a big hand?

I guess if I had lots of money, this wouldn't be an issue. Then again if I had lots of money, I'd spend it all on more chips, so I still wouldn't want to be forced to donk it all off.

I always bring three to four buy ins. saying that. I agree, not a fan at all. I guess if everyone knows up front and you still show then I guess you can't complain to much. As in @krafticus example, is probably leave, then get banned.

As long as the rule is communicated up front to people, i.e. before they make their way to the place, I don't see a problem here.
It's still your money and your decision, you simply make the decision before the game even begins instead of at the time you bust.

I too bring in extra buy-ins, but that's my decision. The hours I work often mean that I have been awake for 43 hours by the time midnight rolls around. I know my game will get sloppy after 10 pm. If I'm felted there, I'm done. I wouldn't want to give up more. If I'm felted at 8 pm, I'm back in, and will battle back.

I would hate to miss a great game just because I understand my limitations, but the host does not.

When I was invited to join this game the very first thing they said was the buy in $300 to stsrt, nothing less and I had to bring $600 to get a seat. I always bring at least 3 buy-ins so it wasn’t an issue to me.

They want a deep game. There are 6-8 regulars and 2-4 other guys every game and people are always hoping to get the text invite.

There aren’t many $1/2 games that have $10k on the table for a 5-6 hour game on a Thursday night in this area. The game happens every week so the rule must not be much of an issue.

Nice game. Do the “other guys” generally hold their own? You describe as 2-4 other guys, is this generally a fleece the rotating other guys game?
