Official Home Game Pics Thread! (42 Viewers)

....I guess if I had lots of money, this wouldn't be an issue. Then again if I had lots of money, I'd spend it all on more chips, so I still wouldn't want to be forced to donk it all off.

Maybe if you didn't blow half your 401K on boneless prime rib you could afford extra buy-ins. Just a suggestion...

Nice game. Do the “other guys” generally hold their own? You describe as 2-4 other guys, is this generally a fleece the rotating other guys game?

Not at all. Most of the guys are just there to gamble it up. They have been playing together for about 10 years. So they know they need to always be recruiting as they lose some players.

I would say there are 2-3 decent players in the entire group. Some of the regulars the game is based around. They are really bad players that have a lot of money and are there to drink and have a good time. If they end up dropping a grand or more, oh well. They also know they can make it back in one big hand. The PLO action is pretty crazy.

I found it much easier to make money from them in Hold’em as they don’t fold preflop for almost any size raise.

For example:
There is a button straddle to $5, I’m in the SB, first to act and I make it $30 get one call then middle position makes it $125. Folds back to me and I raise to $375.

Middle guy folds his QQ surprisingly but the 3 bettor calls. Flop is J74 rainbow and I open shove my remaining $500.

Other guy folds. I pick up $400 pretty easy.

Swings of $2k or more per night for a few players are normal.

$40 max buy-in, 0.25/0.25.

I’m on my second buy-in (n)

Can't wait to play tomorrow! 1/1 Mixed Games (pretty much 70% BigO) and $30 rebuy NLHE tourney (although I hate the structure they use).

In for $80 out for $135 and had a blast! Cash game was a great success. We played 6-handed for about 4.5 hours, got about $450 in play. Chips were great, 0.25/0.25 played fine... though I may do 0.25/0.50 next time and bump max buy-in a bit. Most pre-flop raises were 1-3$ and the dollar was for sure the workhorse.

Most importantly, my crew all couldn’t say enough about the whole setup... which really is what resonates this morning.

Thanks everyone for the help so far!

...next step, learn a game other than NLHE.

According to traditional Japanese mythology, having a ladybug in the house is a sign of good luck. For tonight's final event of the year, it looks like PZ and I have it locked up. Each dot in these photos is a ladybug..... Guess I should have checked if the door was closed. :sneaky:

Thursday night’s $2/$4 limit game with a half kill to $3/$6, Hold’em, Pineapple, and Omaha. This pic is of the aftermath. We got all 800 x PCA $1’s on the table and 1 lone PCA $25 (can you spot it). That’s my stack on the far right with the spotted bird card guard. In for $100, out for $201. @GrumpyCatMalaka back in the house.

Pre-cash tourney going down. One small step up from dice chips at this home game, but the field is good and it's good company (y)
