How about a PCFer big o/plo game (2 rounds of each)? That would be fun. Maybe George @TheJestyr will come out for that.
If you can get him out of the secret bunker he is living in!

I heard the small flat rate box from @Windwalker had the Marcellus Wallace briefcase contents in it!!!

I dig the Hot Wheels looking card protector! :ROFLMAO:

I once had a dream about hosting a "Frank's Series of Poker" lineup of poker tournaments in a casino-like basement with 5 or so tables. This was a tad smaller than that but was it ever satisfying:

This dream happened long before I became a chipper. I never really thought I'd own a set of customs but after a fair bit of thought these seemed like the perfect chips to alter.

Many thanks goes out to our wonderful site vendors (and some not really vendors but they had some awesome chips made so they still get props in my book ;)):

Nice table, nice cards, nice chips and good company. Lots of fun. I ended up taking it down too.

Only improvement I could consider now is adding a shuffler since I'm the dedicated dealer. Pretty pricey and I probably don't host enough yet. Had help shuffling at least so it was pretty smooth.

No chippers at this game but I'd say they appreciated the setup. The table certainly got the most comments.

Overlabels or FULL Murder?

That is sick, lol didn’t see any mention of these and then bam there’s a full custom table and set.

Dibs on sample if one exists!

Overlabels or FULL Murder?

Full death and decay. Only real way for an "I'm going to keep these for more than two weeks" custom set made out of a mix of denominated and oddball fantasy chips IMO. Though I did wonder if I had a few too many before. I may not have enough after putting them in play lol so I don't think I altered too many.

Yeah that's kind of how I roll lol.

So I don't really have any samples but I did ask you something along the lines of this probably when you had 10 spare seconds in between tasks as a busy host at WAB II:

"Hey Jeff. Do you like non-CPC custom samples? I honestly have no idea if you like samples at all."

OK I don't know if that was exactly the wording I used and I never said that second statement because everyone here knows the answer. In any case, let's see what happens this coming April ;)

Oh snap I think I remember that! You did ask that because I remember talking to someone and actually sharing that Paulson relabels were my fav customs.

Idk if all the Canadians are coming down together, but if you do make it down and need a spot we can throw a bed in my office.

Congrats on the awesome setup and successful hosting night!

An Elks club, best poker group (aside from meetups) ever! Most of us have been playing together about 15 years.
I played in a thrice weekly Elks game when I lived in the Florida panhandle. I was 25 and no one else was under 55. Mostly 7 card stud with draw if a particular player was there. $2 limit - $30 buy in. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from Noon-4pm. Mixed drinks were $.75. I miss those days.

Anyone willing to share their humble beginnings home game to where you’re home games are played now? I’ll start, how about the Amazon special fugly green “felt” on top of a kitchen table and paper card combo to an amateur Barrington with some DIY lights. Slowly making my way to a Chanman Table…

The poker hand ranking cheat sheet does it for me

I adopted a game that my boss had held for quite a long time. He had gone into Mexico and brought a bunch of Peso coins to use in his game. Well loved paper Bicycle cards and games like "Fiery Cross" and "Midnight Baseball" were standard. The game waned a bit, but I was able to keep it going by adding a handful of players.

I was gifted a 500 piece of 11,5g slugged chips one Christmas (not long after the poker boom) and used those instead of the Pesos. We also cut back on the crazy wild card games and stuck with thing like hold'em, stud and draw.

Maybe nine months or so after I was gifted the chips, they were stolen from my car, but I already had an order with ASM (no inlay "blank" chips) that showed up less than two months after that, so the game kept going from there.

I can still smell the metallic stench on my fingers from those awful coins if I think about it. It took several hours and hand washings to get that to go away.

I'm trying to start a new home game, aside from the Manhole League that I play at now but that's not mine. However here are my humble beginnings when I was going to dealer school and played with fellow students. Sorry for the potato quality images but they were taken with a potato phone after all. That's my first table build to play home games and practice dealing on. The cheap felt was pretty rough after some play and had a lot of clumps and would get in the way so I temporarily covered it with that ugly craps layout.

When someone (not me) breaks out their best chips.
Hope it's not permanent. Or gives cancer.

"I see you put a chip on top of only one of your cards. You don't want to protect it?"
"I'm not protecting it, I'm using the ink from the chip to mark the Broadway cards!"

.25/.50 got splashy. Bud Jones got some love tonight. In for 40. Out for 82.

High hand of the night:
View attachment 1241070

Goes check-check on the flop. AQ checks raises turn, A9 shoves, AQ snaps.
View attachment 1241127

My KQs goes all in pre. JJ folds. K9 calls. Bad beat of the night, K9 catches a river straight.

My big hand of the night on double board bomb pot. Caught flush on top board and river top pair on bottom to take it down.

Was happy to finally get the BJ v7 back in play again after eliminating the suction/vacuum - they handle like a dream now. Players had a great time being able to shuffle them and enjoyed them as much as Paulsons.
How did you eliminate the suction/ vacuuming? I have this set and boy do they stick, nasty.
