One of the guys in my go-to wine/whisky store in Glasgow had his first kid recently. He's from Islay, loves his whisky, and they called their boy Corryvreckan (Corr for short). Nuttah!

No hard liquor yesterday, but when the 60+ people at our brunch dwindled down to a manageable ten, and the sun was setting, I started pulling out some of my older wines for tasting. We went through a Ridge Dusi Ranch zin, a Turley Haynes zin, and several others, but the stars were definitly 2) a 1991 Capitel del Roari Amarone, and 1) my last bottle of a huge 1979 Clos Fourtet.
I don't remember exactly when I picked up the Clos Fourtet, but the price sticker said $12.95. I miss those days!
