Bottle kill. This was a good one, but probably not worth the $250 I paid.

I had this years 10 year at a restaurant, it was good. Hoping to add one of these decanters to my collection.

How’s the woodinville? I passed on it as I was unfamiliar at the time, haven’t had anything from them, but seems like the 8yr BiB is a winner. Cheers!

Oh I know, I recognized the rick house & floor :) I bought & opened my bottle like a month or two before you got yours, and mine is still half full :D (I have a backup as well). I nurse this one given the availability and price tag lol
I had opened up the bottle and shared it with some of the guys .. and I was a tad drunk and didn't realize we drank 3/4 of the bottle. Saturday, one of my players opened the bottle to give it a smell, and broke the cork in the bottle. I took it to a buddy's house, removed the cork, and finished the bottle.

I wish I had a DC mailing address, since OF sells this for $89, but they only ship to about 7 states.

FYI, it is the PX, it’s $149

Interesting…the PX Edition is $60 more than the Lusteau and they both retail at $90. Must be the more desirable of the two. The Yellow Spot is $20 less there than what I can get it for and it just sits on the shelves here collecting dust.

Those limited edition wine finished Green Spots that are sitting beside the Yellow are fantastic but not realistically worth more than $85-90. There’s 3 different ones and they’re all significantly better than standard Green.

Nice snag on the 4R LE!!!

For any of you who watch the SLB podcasts, I found this one interesting. I really perked up when I saw an IOWA whiskey place first in this year end review. I don't think I can buy this in Texas, so I got on the phone with my sister yesterday, and she was able to pick me up a bottle of the Cedar Ridge Double Barrel Rye today. I'll be seeing her at our family Christmas gathering in MO next week.

Speaking of Missouri, isn't there a well regarded distillery in that state as well? Anything I should go looking for in local liquor stores that I'm unlikely to find in Texas?

Sadly…it still just doesn’t taste right. I had a tiny sip off my best Russell’s Private Barrel and it wasn’t good either:(

I just don’t understand why Scotch and Irish still taste good/great while bourbon and rye taste awful. If anything…my taste and cravings for peat bombs is thru the roof now.

This one is terrific…a tad bit young but very tasty and well balanced. Glad I found this one!

Pregaming with a new SiB. I went to the same high school as Eric, I think he was like 10 years behind me, I was good friends with his older sister growing up. Good guy, and a hell of a ball player, we've met a few times at our has-been high school football alumni nights lol.

Pretty good pick
