Buy the Handy for me. Pass on the Willetts unless you love Willett.Brain trust, what say you? I have access to the following:
Thomas H Handy 2024 for $395
Willett purple top 10 year 129.6 proof for $345
Willett green top 10 year rye 132.6 proof for $345
Handy is way higher than I’d like to pay. I’d insta buy at $250 and likely still buy at $300.
Willett’s are closer to my valuation.
Thoughts?
I've tasted 10 purple tops (flights at the distillery) and none were worth the money. I do happen to like Willett, but I stick to their normally priced options like Noah's Mill and Old Bardstown Estate.Brain trust, what say you? I have access to the following:

Caskers.com has it for $55.99 and ships to TN. It's my favorite 1792, but I haven't had the 12 Year or Sweet Wheat.Does anyone have access to this 1792? I bought a bottle and really enjoyed it for the price. It's almost gone so I went back to my store and they said it was a limited release and don't have access to anymore. Hoping someone can help me out.

I can also get it in PA for $52.99 including shipping to me. No idea the cost of re-shipping to you. If Caskers.com can't hook you up, feel free to reach out.Does anyone have access to this 1792? My first and only bottle of 1792 was a full proof store pick that was ass.I didn’t like my 1792 BiB store pick. Had a smoky flavor. Off to the “help yourself cart” for me
Double check your bottle, it may have been a store pick. They often have small gold label on the front, like this:

The "regular" 1792 BiB is fairly common (at least around here), they may have meant that store pick was a limited release.

It’s good…not great. Very heavy on the vanilla and spice. Light orchard fruit on the back end until the spice takes over. Nose kinda reminded me of Powers John’s Lane but after the first sip, it’s not even close. I would think an inexperienced Irish drinker might mistake this for a mid-shelf spiced rum…it had those vibes. I’d rather spend $5 more and get Green Spot or the Powers JL…and be much happier. $10 more would get me a bottle of Redbreast 12yr and I’d definitely buy it over this one.
