Ok, I think I have my 5 bottles but it is always subject to change.

The problem is, I've drank so much bad whiskey that my daily drinker and mixer are probably the same - Knob Creek. But, Early Times is probably my cheapo.

Old Forester 1920 or maybe OF Statesman is probably my "impress your friends."

ECBP is probably my Friday night, something with a little more kick...only because I don't have Stagg Jr. yet.

And Noah's Mill is my current "special occasion," because I only have two bourbons in the $85+ range -- Noah's Mill and Four Roses Single Barrel Barrel Strength. That's probably too strong for most people.
My problem is that I’m trying to sample everything and so my daily’s are in the $60 range.

Everyday - Knobs are great
Mixer - Benchmark 8 ($21 for a 1.75) and I like it neat to boot.
Impressive share - Jefferson’s ocean wheat (might be too expensive per their standards). Need to try rare breed and old forester but could easily be Taylor BiB if I have to ratchet it down in price.
Friday Night special - as stated usually doing flights to sample different bottles(ing)
Super special - have too many and not a special enough occasion. Last one was when I got relieved of my duties and blew through a knob creek store pick, kicking myself now as it was one of the 15 yr versions and they don’t make them anymore. But boy was it fantastic!

I have been chain watching Bourbon Junkies all day. They have said several times that in Texas and Ohio it is readily available. I assume you are close enough to Ohio for a road trip?
I can land the special reserve in TX pretty easily, but never even seen any other Weller on shelves

I’m in Ohio and can get the Special Reserve and 107 pretty easily. Have to know when each store gets their allotment. Picked these up a couple of weeks ago.

I struck out in Ohio a couple weeks ago. Called every store that showed some availability from Cleveland to Erie for Weller Antique and nada.

I'm really glad I listened to your recommendation on this. It is a fantastic pour. I recently added the Ardbeg 5. I like that almost as much. Its a little more aggressive. I don't mind. The flavor is still top notch.

The Wee Beastie is good but almost the same price of the 10yo for half the age. I have a bottle of it but not sure I'd buy it again compared to the classic 10. Probably not.

Can someone give me the crash course on Elijah Craig, I have tried a number of small batch store picks, and have small batch barrell proof. Are there different Barrell Proof options that I should be looking for? What about Toasted Barrell?

I did try the 18 and wasn’t overly impressed
