Houston, we have a problem....

0905C797-C1C2-4DB7-B91A-6A34EF5AB982.jpeg
so sad. Cork broke on my Elmer T Lee so I just used a silicone wine stopper
Decanter?
I have spare stoppers, but the Abelour bottle has a really wide diameter opening, and none fit. And my only decanter is 120 miles away.

:(

I’ve contacted Abelour about a replacement stopper.
So, just thought I'd update this post...

...I contacted Aberlour about a stopper June 1st, and after an initial "thanks for your email, we'll be in touch" response, they went radio-silent. I followed-up a month or so ago and they sent me a replacement...attached to a brand new bottle of the 18 year old! :wow: Problem is...I can't use the stopper on my old bottle until I finish the new one...so I'm writing another email.... ;)

Googles Moser glassware.
'Holy crap! No way I'll ever pay that much for a glass.'
Looks around at chip collection and realizes that yah... I probably will.
:)
Same. Same. But seriously, even at wholesale, they're still insanely spendy. Beautiful crystal--thin at the top but with a lovely heavy base...every time I hand-wash them I'm a nervous wreck...and need another dram to calm down.

... and then you have to clean *that* glass. And then pour yourself another dram. Dang - what a delicious cycle.

I haven't read even a few pages of this thread, so I'm just jumping in with an opinion:

I'm a pussy, and don't drink hard alcohol well. It's possible that I've just not had good stuff, so I've been tainted and haven't continued to tried higher ends. I don't actually even know the difference between scotch, bourbon, or whatever other genres of whiskey there are.
However, I LOVE the peanut butter flavored shit. It's possible that you connoisseur's wouldn't even qualify it as a whiskey haha.

Rams Point and Revel Stoke specifically.

To make it even MORE dessertie, I like to add blackberry or raspberry Chambord to it for the classic Peanut Butter and Jelly flavor.
On my off days, I drink $15/fifth butterscotch schnapps and love it. You’ll get no judgement from me!

Dude.. I LOVE Butterscotch Scnapps.... Actually... I I might stop and get some on the way home now that you put the thought in my head... It's been a hot minute.

Larceny barrel proof and Knob 12 about to disappear from shelves, not that they had much trouble doing that anyway. They are Whisky Advocate’s top 2 for 2020. They put Bulleit Blender’s Select at #4, so that is on my list now too.

I've got a few Knob 12yrs in my back stock. I guess I need a few more. :whistling:

Eagle Rare has gone on allocation status here in Colorado too.

And I just saw a TON of Buffalo Trace at Costco
I wouldn't be surprised if it was a literal ton. :)

But yah... had a store employee mention that Eagle Rare was going on allocation status about 6 months ago. I didn't have any trouble finding it even after she said that so I didn't get too concerned. Then about two months ago all the store slots for it were empty (in northern CO). :( Now if a few bottles hit the shelves they're gone quick.

I just remembered I am holding a Makers 101 for somebody, but I forget who. If it was you send me a message.
