Really hard to pick a favorite among the Laphroaig 10 Cask Strength, Oogie or Corry. All three are outstanding and depending on the day they shift positions for me.
They are indeed very different. The Laphroaig is matured in ex-bourbon only, the Oogie in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry and the Corry ex-bourbon and French oak (spicier). All three are bruisers!
Tthe only one of the three that carries an age statement is the Laphroaig though. The Ardbegs are likely younger, which usually is not an issue for peated Malts.
Price-wise, at least on average in the US, the Laphroaig CS is a bit lower than the those two Ardbegs which price have been increasing the last couple of years. Value-wise, it's hard to beat the Laphroaig 10 CS imo.
Again, I cannot pick a favorite here, LOL!
