I think distributors create artificial rarity in different locales to pump up demand. Knob 12 is slightly harder to find around here but very doable. Eagle Rare is so common that every grocery store and drug stores carry them. Weird.

It's got to drive the manufacturers and retailers nuts that the distributors can do that.

The government made the movie studios sell their theaters so that they couldn't make the films and also distribute them. They did the same thing to alcohol after prohibition. Seems a little outdated to me.

That's a great price for Booker's, at least here.

To be fair, all of the Oregon stores that I have checked have a ton of good value bourbons in stock... so Booker's is probably overpriced for you all.

I couldn't help myself. I needed dog and cat food, so I went back to my regional supermarket, they still had 6 of these in a cabinet. $75 + 7% state tax is, rounding up, $81 out the door. Almost forgot the dog and cat food.
