lol, I just playin' fun time. Next time though, share that kind bud with me before class, aight? haha

I've had the kings county many times, one of my favorites. I moved across the state and my new local state liquor store never has it... I do miss it. They need 750ml bottles!!!
If you really want some... lmk what they're stocking by you in NH! :ROFLMAO:
They have them in some stores here but the distillery isn't too far away

I'll trade you the new riff bottles for those wellers  :ROFLMAO: .
I was surprised they had the Knob SB there actually - didn't show on their website, but they had it off the shelf.
God I can get Eagle Rare, Knob and all that crap.... no Weller in this state goddamnit... and Stagg doesn't exist.

I am open to pay for the luxury- I just spent $90 a bottle on Weller reserve from bottle buzz to get 2 delivered....

Anyone like Eagle Rare? I personally don't care for it, but the shit is always on the shelf and they sell out of Buffalo Trace in 2 days everytime it comes in.... I will trade bottles of Eagle Rare for Weller. Hit me up

Delicious stuff.

I didn't even notice the year on the store pick I just grabbed until Kyle pointed it out lol
Haha yeah, i was looking for the year/bottled at each store - some of them have just the SB, not store pick. Wondering how different those are now, because i'm liking this one

Seeing what might be the blue tag peaking out in the background.
Would love to find the first three chapters. Ordered them online after searching only to have the orders cancelled as the website was incorrect and were actually chapter 4.

OK. I'll allow the 107 at $56.99. But the SR at $39.49 is BS. Let me get that for you. As much as you want. We will eventually meet up, play poker and have some bourbon.

edit: just saw the tax :vomit:
What are you getting that SR for?? It's going for ~$80 when i see it around here and $50 in OH at some places lol

It is exactly $26.95 here with no sales tax

Also, FWIW guys, the 107 is >>> than the SR IMO. That said, I'll take that SR all day at that price, especially when Blanton's is $59.95. What I am trying to say is that the SR and the Eagle rare for that matter are OUTSTANDING values.

100% agreed on the 107 > SR.

It's like $23 where I get it for the 750 ml, $30 for 1L, $45 for 1.5l.

But I never see the 107

That's crazy man. I NEVER see the larger bottles of SR....would def buy if I saw them. I admit it is rare to find 107 here, but I have found 4 this year. We'll see what next year brings! we gotta get ya some 107 bro

They are usually sold out of the 1.75l, but the 1L is usually what I buy.

I think some 107 will be coming my way soon thanks to a friend :)

I have a chapter 2 sealed. Wanna trade for something?

Ill start this off by saying I don't like whiskey, scotch, bourbon or whatever you call it (especially hate islays). About the only thing I can deal with is Chivas Regal.

My mum bought this for my dad for christmas, so I thought I'd give it a try. It was so bad I almost spat it out. He claimed to enjoy it, but I'm not so sure I believe him lol.

Anyone heard of it? Is it awful? And was he pretending to enjoy it because it was a gift lol.

You crack me up, Mike! :ROFLMAO:

No, Bladnoch is not bad. It is a Lowland Scotch Single Malt. Lowlands are typically gentler and have a more grassy flavor. They are also triple distilled very often. I typically never go for Lowlands but to your question, no, the above is not a bad whisky. It is just not for you (maybe not yet, maybe never).

Bladnoch, as you can see on the bottle, is a lowland Scotch. Lowlands are relatively scarce, and are generally the mildest of Scotch whiskies, best suited for before-dinner sipping.

Chivas Regal is a blend, and includes some lowland grain whisky. I'm surprised to hear that you can gag down the Chivas, but not Bladnoch, especially since it's aged in bourbon and wine casks. Perhaps your reaction is due to the extra 6.7% alcohol in the Bladnoch?

Thanks for the replies. I was just Intrigued as I'd never heard of it and it wasn't one my dad was aware of either.

Mild is not the word I would use to describe the flavour of it. I thought it was going to burn my throat.

Chivas didn't seem too bad at all to me, rather smooth you might say lol. At least that's a word i hear getting chucked around and it didn't make me cringe upon tasting it.

To be honest, straight alcohol just isn't for me. I'll stick to my gin and tonic  :ROFLMAO:

I'm a fussy eater too, always have been. The finer foods and drinks are just wasted on my unrefined tastebuds. It's a curse

If you like gin & tonics (we do too), have you tried the French 75?

-one part lemon juice
-one part simple syrup
-two parts gin

Shake with ice, strain into a tall glass, and top up with champagne ( 3-5 parts).

If you get adventurous, substitute Cognac (or rum or bourbon) for the gin.

@Perthmike I am with you on the Scotch. When @detroitdad busts out his Laguvlin it smells like a magic marker to me. I do like bourbon but I can’t do peat. Ironically I had a glass of Chivas last week and while drinkable I would prefer cheap bourbon.

On another note got this Woodford for Christmas from wife and kids. Is Woodford trying to avoid the infamous “neck pour” with this bottle.
