I know I'm going to like the Russell's ($55) as I've had it many times. The Peerless ($80) and Old Elk ($75) are both new to me.

Peerless Rye around me is $95-145 retail. That's why I only have a 200ml...I've heard it varies wildly in taste. I'll have a Bourbon Junkies Old Elk pick coming soon. Russell's picks are $64 by me.
 
Picked up a few bottles today, and had a good week playing the Razzles. Drinking the Redbreast now.

That is a great idea for all of us. I am currently 80% bourbon, 20% Rye, 0% Irish, 0% Scotch...yes, I know there are others.

Trust me I plan on slightly fixing those numbers when the time is right! I will depend on the Scotch and Irish whiskey drinkers here in this MAGNIFICENT thread to guide me when the time comes.

You should've said something...I have a bunch of Irish that I'm getting into. Cheap, crushable...Slane. Complex, delicious...Blue Spot.
 
Question for all of you: Would you pay $2,000 for a Double Eagle Very Rare?

I would say absolutely not.....don't care how good it is, it is a bottle of whiskey for fucks sake!!! Wouldn't matter if I was rich either.

No, but only because I don’t have that kind of disposable income. My wife doesn’t know about the $200 I’ve spent on a bottle.

I would but I would probably sell tastings. Why do you have an in? They make under 300 bottles a year

Would you buy Apple at $10? Does it taste like $2000?...no. Can you flip it for $8000+...yeah.

ok, I have not found one...yet. That said, I would not buy one just to flip it. That would make me a flipper, something we all hate.
 
Ok I was like totally surprised if you can buy do please? Any pappy I will buy I keep getting shafted at regular price. I don’t want pappy at 400 I can get that anywhere. I actually love stagg jr best whiskey since my old stash is gone. Love this forum.
 
I can also trade chips if you can get really special whiskey? Pappy 20. 25 eagle rare etc. lol
