Royal Flush
This won't be popular or anything, right?
Passed on some at $70 recently, more north thoughYeah that's pretty standard around here (which is why I haven't tried it yet). I got the ECBP for $60 or $65 in February. Not a good sign.
The one I have for me, unopened, was $50 when I bought it. I have some new local bourbon friends and they seem interested in it. I'm ambivalent about it. I could open it or trade/sell it. The reviews I see point to "mediocre". I have at least fifteen unopened and untried bottles that I'd rather get to first. Are the ectb good? I get mixed reviews. Would love to try. @FDLmold i might have to add one to my next shipment. lol

Ah, but you are repaying me! My Russell's13 was cheaper last week than he was selling it to everybody else, because he knows me and I'm a solid regular. Because I go in there and buy six Lost Monarchs, or three EC BP, or Bardstown Discovery, few of which are for me. Which he doesn't know, for the most part. He probably thinks I'm starting a bourbon bar or something. I always tell him that I'm very thirsty today and need lots of bourbon. He also knows I don't buy his overpriced one-of bottles, like $150 for a Stagg Jr or Blanton's, or $700 for Taketsuru 21. He's got other customers for those. Dude offered me a job last week once school is out for the summer. Says he can't get anybody to work. I guess that's ONE way to get an "in" at the liquor store.I feel bad never repaying the favor. Let me know if there’s something I can get that you can’t and I’ll hook it up. This should be a 2way street
There is such a good sale on these around me right now. I *should* buy an extra or two.Old Forestor 1920 Prohibition Style. Nuff said!!

BardstownThe school year is over, no more students until August. I still have to go in tomorrow because we are moving equipment between schools and this week I found about $3000 worth of vacuum pumps and bell jars in a closet and I need to figure out what the hell to do with them. But I digress. Tonight I celebrate with a virgin bottle of my good stuff. Which should I open?

The Little Book is Chapter 4 - 2020.Great choices! Is that Chapter 3? Can't see label well... All three very different indeed, but as I said no bad choices.
I'd go for the Bardstown Dicoc#2 myself but would gladly have a pour of any of those...
Does your wife know?Bardstown. Congrats. My wife still has 2 weeks left to teach, then I get my summer wife.
Where are you at in Indy, Indyscammer? I have a line on some Garrison Brothers Balmorhea if you are near Carmel. It's too rich for me most likely, but there are many in here who would drink it!Weller SR. I tried Larceny last weekend. I prefer the neck pour of Larceny to the neck pour of SR. Larceny is smoother and sweeter. Those that like high proof might prefer Weller as it tastes higher than the 90 it is. Another pour is in order for science!View attachment 711756

Oh, man, what I'd do for a trip to Shapiros. I'm a New Yorker, but I still love me a good old-fashioned midwest deli.Westfield, 3 seconds from Carmel.
