I’d say rittenhouse rye for mixing. I also like sazerac rye for mixing as well (very unique)normally mix, make a lot of old fashions.

Something super herbal, minty and cheap is Dickel Rye. Sourced from MGP.normally mix, make a lot of old fashions.
I haven’t had that one. Does it have that Flintstone vitamin metallic note to it?Something super herbal, minty and cheap is Dickel Rye. Sourced from MGP.
Not Dickel juice, sourced from MGP. Only "Dickel" I tolerate.I haven’t had that one. Does it have that Flintstone vitamin metallic note to it?
I think you’re the soldier with those pours

I feel the same way about my bottle. Opened it about 2 months ago and it was good right from the start. It’s amazing how much better it is now!!
Anybody starting in ryes, the Elijah Craig rye is moderately priced, good, and inoffensive. It's widely available too now, so I'd start there.
Knob Creek standard rye is just under mediocre for me. Bulleit is decent, but it's been a long time since I had any.I like Elijah Craig bourbon so maybe I will go that way for a rye.
What about bulleit, 1792, or knob creek?
