Nice price, I got mine for $70 and I thought that was a steal. I liked this latest batch even more than batch 2.

With tax, I'm between $100 and $125 for Alberta Premium. I still feel that it is worth it.

Nailed it. Also--this is not light whiskey--for the record.

If you notice the code on the bottle (Barrell codes all of their products) the "V" is for the Valleyfield Distillery in Quebec. The rye whiskey from that particular distillery is available under a handful of other labels as well. This was likely barreled at a screaming high ABV (north of 70%) so it's no surprise it comes out of the barrel hot.

The 16+ year Canadian rye that went into Seagrass 16 (the Gray Label release) was from this same distillery, for whatever that is worth to you. Generally speaking I find the Alberta rye to be a bit tastier...but to each their own! I've tried a handful of the "V" coded ryes and some are really enjoyable, some are just kinda...not.

When Costco gets any limited whiskey, nobody can beat their price. My Costco gets very few that I would buy (Sweetens Cove and Lock Stock 30yr don’t count). Best I ever did there was some Rare Breed Rye for $50ish.

I sold some chips recently and boasted to my wife that I have some money for valentines. But I just splurged on a bottle that’s going to be delivered in an hour. I need an excuse why we can’t go out for valentines dinner. Lol

Flaviar did that to me on a New Riff bottle. They sent the single barrel rye when I ordered bourbon. I kept the rye and got the bourbon at a discount as an apology. The rye is my favorite of my 3 New Riff bottles.
