Flaviar did that to me on a New Riff bottle. They sent the single barrel rye when I ordered bourbon. I kept the rye and got the bourbon at a discount as an apology. The rye is my favorite of my 3 New Riff bottles.

Types that wrong the one they sent me by mistake is harder to find and MORE EXPENSIVE. Not cheaper.

It is good, but compared to New Riff it isn't double the price good.

I poured it as soon as I opened the box. At first I thought it was just good but nothing special. I left some in my glass and went to wash the dishes. I can back to it after maybe 15 mins and it opened up so much. Now I don’t have a great nose or palate, but after letting it breathe, I got so much of the fruity notes on the nose and palate. It’s actually pretty great.

It really is tasty. I am not a high proof fan but this doesn't hit me like other higher proofs. Hot initially but the flavor is great and finish is long. Tasty!

Bout to pay a couple bills, finish oiling a few chips, then bust out my Alberta CS and try some. If I don't like it, I'll have a couple for trades, if I like it, then I have backups already. Win win!

Dunno, I've seen several reviews claiming it was way too hot, but they're all single barrels so I guess you never know what you'll get, each store gets something a little different. The particular store pick I had last year was absolutely fantastic and this one has started out pretty damn good so far. But I'm admittedly an OF fan.
