I've said the same thing. For the price point its delicious. Hell, if I could only have one, affordable bourbon, this may be it .
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Weller Antique 107 (OWA) would be my daily drinker if I could find it at retail consistently. Even with my high taxes, I can usually get a bottle for $77 out the door. No complaints. I’ve got 6 bottles at the moment. :cool

Yup. I can usually find 3 to 4 bottles a year. $49.95 with no sales tax is a no brainer slam dunk!

Anyone tried this? $94 here

I'm interested in all opinions too on G Bros releases under $100. I'm sure the Balmorhea is out of this world fantastic, but almost $200 is ouchie.

I've read that the Texas climate generates WAY more angel's share than Kentucky, so they get less product at the end, which is why their prices have to be higher.

I have the Balmorhea and it is crazy flavorful. Not sure I'll replace it when its gone, but it is interesting.

Everyone in town is talking about this release for tomorrow. Comes from my favorite brewery in town, the Crux Fermentation Project. Might be hard to get. Very limited small batch 100 proof bourbon for $80. I will be in line.....wish me luck!

I’ve been considering a bottle of Redbreast 27yr. I’m pretty sure that I would love it, but I’d like to test drive it first.

Anyone want to trade a sample with me? Or I’ll buy a sample?

This video might have sealed the deal. And it’s hilarious.

Redbreast 27 is exceptional. I've nursed a bottle for the last two years, it won't survive this St. Patrick's day. Value is as subjective as taste, though, so I'd urge you try before you buy. If my bottle had more than an ounce left I'd share some with you, but it barely survived Christmas, and I want that one last taste of sweet nectar on March 17th!

I'll counter with this: I'll be your insurance policy. if you buy it, and for some reason dislike it, DM me. I'll find a way to take it off your hands and offset the cost.

@kmccormick100 : I was drinking Laphroaig 10 Sherry Oak last night here at SQM. 30mins after I finished it and was biking back to my AirBB, I was still tasting the smoked berry/cinnamon... Great dram indeed, man and about $90. If you're still looking for that peat/sherry combo, I'd take a punt on that bottle for sure. It is not cask strength but I think it's 48%.

I've got a bottle on my shelf and had a nice pour last night too! Great stuff.

This sounds really good, I need to add this to my list....

I thought today was the day. I've been trying to find a Stagg Jr. forever now. It's been dropping like crazy here in VA. this week.
It dropped at the other store in town. Not at the one I waited in line for 3 hours for.
I did get a nice bottle, but man, I thought I finally was going to get a Stagg.

Appreciate that @TheBourbonFinder. I didn't know that!
For sure! I've always fluctuated between EH Taylor Barrel Proof and Stagg Jr. on which I prefer, and just being honest here, it's usually Stagg Jr.. This most recent year of EHTBP was a total home run, though. Best one I can recall.

All of this to say: it's all the same liquid when it goes into the barrel. Where it ages, how long, and what it's proofed to make the final difference.

This is good news, since I've recently picked up 2 of them. :bigbucks:

I love Stagg Jr. and I am very fortunate to find it without too much effort, usually around $100 even with our stupid high taxes.
