I feel so inadequate at this particular moment:LOL:
I mean, it’s quite a flex. But I paid $45 for the first pour. And then I traded a $300 bottle ($1200 secondary) for the new Handy because I knew that I would love it more.

I’m a happy boy right now. About to have homemade baked macaroni and cheese, and then my 3rd baller pour after. Today is a great day. :)

This can be yours for some Indiana Grand Sec $100s

How is it compared to regular Seagrass?
I just got the seagrass gold so it’s not open yet. Debating on whether to gift it to my brother

But the grey label seagrass 16 year is like regular seagrass amped up. It’s got all the great apricot and stone fruit notes of regular but taste like your on drugs. It’s pretty damn good. If I do send my bro the gold label I’ll make sure he sends me back a sample or 5

I’ve been debating getting the 16yr. Good to know.

So I just poured myself some 16 since I haven’t had any in about 2 weeks

Nose:
Very clear apples apricots and other stone fruits. The nose is so fruit and no burn no ethanol. Second nose slight ethanol and get pears now

Palate:
Mmmmm delicious. Get all the flavors from the nose. Slight burn, more like a tingle. Coats whole mouth. So tropical

Finish:
Short with slight pepper. Not really a burn but spicy on the back. Tongue is numb (but I just had 3 different pours of high proofs. Could be residual heat).

Drinks a little thin but does give a good warmth. Still pretty good but not sure worth its price. It is like regular seagrass x3

But don’t take my word for it…I don’t have a great palate. Pm me and I’ll send you a sample of the 16

Reminds me of fond memories on a cruise ship. The bourbon bar right by the cigar lounge had Blanton's for $5.50 a pour and 3 bottles of various Pappy for $10.50 a pour. I told the hot cocktail waitress keep 'em coming. I "sampled" everything. They were sold out in 3 days. I gave up sex during that time and it was well worth it.

2020 — has been open since December of 2020.

2021 — Was cracked today.

My wife and I agree that 2020 is “sweet fire.” And 2021 is all caramel and rye spice, and fire.

Top 5 bottle in my collection for sure. Maybe top 3. I’d have to really think about it. Not sure how I’d rank these:

2018 George T Stagg
2021 Thomas H Handy
EH Taylor Barrel Proof Bourbon
Old Forester Barrel Strength Rye
Stagg Jr Batch 17

Looking forward to:

Seeing if Pappy 15 gets better after being open a bit, but I still like it a lot
