How much were they wanting for the EHT bottles? Either small batch or SiB? That Stagg Jr is about double retail, so assuming about the same?

Nose: strange magic marker/ rubber cement note. Smelled this stronger before in a SW malted rye. Similar smell to a very overripe banana peel. Yes, bananas foster, big time. Mineral - rain. Strong fresh cut wood smell.
Palate: fairly complex burst of flavor. Baking spices, butterscotch,
Long burning finish that I actually like.
Proof: 120?

Here in NY that’s about right EH Single barrel fetches 200 plus by me. I remember when the small batch was 50$ and single barrel was 100. The good ole days

Central Texas gets more temperature variation than Houston. Most Houston made bourbon is crap from what I hear. I guess it ages better (faster?) in Austin.

The larger temperature variation in Texas pushes more Bourbon into and out of the barrel char, thus aging it more quickly than Kentucky. The angels share is also higher.
