Got lucky today. Very excited for this one. Holy shit it's good.

Yeah, it was by far the best of the three last night. I made a mistake and opened the show with the star - but it was at the host's insistence.
No pictures, but after a very long week at work with a good outcome at the end the boss and I put a hurt on a bottle of Redbreast 21.

Tasting notes?
I had my first taste of Irish whiskey other than Jameson last night. It was sweet and light compared to the Maker's Mark cask strength that I had been drinking.

So what do you suggest? This was sweet and smooth and easy to drink, but didn't have much character. There was nothing wrong with it, but it's not anything I would go out of my way to drink. The guy who brought it said it was $40. Off the top of my head I can think of 10 bottles at that price or less that are considerably better. Bourbons and Ryes.
