But it’s ‘Distilled with Attitude’ so maybe?
So I see you’re familiar with the taste of Jersey Girls???that is going to taste like used bandaids and raw wood
Why? Is it distilled by Ardbeg?that is going to taste like used bandaids and raw wood
Nope, no ashtray and road tar on the finishWhy? Is it distilled by Ardbeg?
How does that compare to the standard toasted barrel they offer? Does the “European oak” really make that much of a difference.
I’ll have one with you later when the Kraken game starts.Opening night in the NHL, so a 100% Canadian rye is most definitely in order!View attachment 1207748LFG PENS!!!
If I’m still sipping on Alberta by the time that game starts, I’ll probably have to call in sick tomorrowI’ll have one with you later when the Kraken game starts.
Currently at my Costco.
I reckon I’ll kill this tonight, win or lose.If I’m still sipping on Alberta by the time that game starts, I’ll probably have to call in sick tomorrow
It is the most dangerous whiskey I own—goes down easy and the next thing you know, you’re three in.If I’m still sipping on Alberta by the time that game starts, I’ll probably have to call in sick tomorrow
I was disappointed when we picked it . But I popped mine the night after I got back from picking them up and man! It's not as complex as I'd like but the flavor is really nice. This has been a great night. First I went to a bottle that I haven't drank for quite a while and finished off the last pour. I had forgotten how good OF 1897 is. Now that this half bottle has been kicked, I need to get a new full sized one.
Then the baseball game was going well (Astros) so I decided I might as well open up a bottle of the BBNABG-II that showed up today, Thank you @wolfpack for organizing this GB and thanks to @Bluegrass Poker for handling the shipping. OMG! this is so freakin delicious. I was originally thinking I'd sip on one bottle now and save the second for a special occasion coming up in about a year. But I don't think it's going to last that long. I'm already on my second pour! You guys (the ones who picked it) really knocked it out of the park! Just like my Astros did tonight! Fantastic bourbon! Thanks to all who were involved!

1000% agree. It is the most dangerous whiskey I own—goes down easy and the next thing you know, you’re three in.
I suspect there is a limit to how much complexity you can get with 4 year old juice. But the flavors are really nice, and it drinks very smooth for the proof level. Hopefully New Riff will get to the point soon where they start bottling a few older barrels. I wonder if they have something planned for their 10th anniversary next year?I was disappointed when we picked it . But I popped mine the night after I got back from picking them up and man! They let us try a 9 year they had out. When they get there, New Riff will be a real player!I suspect there is a limit to how much complexity you can get with 4 year old juice. So did they comment at all on what their plans are for the older barrels? They let us try a 9 year they had out. When they get there, New Riff will be a real player!
