So did they comment at all on what their plans are for the older barrels?

I wasn’t at the most recent pick, but I was there for the first one. Our guide was kinda vague about their plans only saying that they had plans for older barrels later down the road. More specific info might have been given to the group this year though.

They also have their 10,000th barrel on display in the warehouse that they will do something special with at some point as well.

Not really other than probably will initially be distillery only releases.

Two new pick-ups tonight - $45 and $80 respectively.

$80 was a stretch for me but it’s a bottle I’ve seen here before and really wanted to try.

Any thoughts on what I paid? Still trying to balance ‘finding something for the first time’ and ‘the price I find it at!

$80 is on the low end of what I see around here. Pure maple syrup in that bottle. Love it or hate...not sure there's an in-between.

Yum. My son-in-law is part of the Donkey juice picking crew. He also helps run Noble Funk Brewery in Louisville KY. He just tapped the barrel of porter aged in last year's Donkey Juice barrel. Damn this is legit. If ever in Louisville, look up Noble Funk!

Beer ships fine. There are lots of beer trading groups and I know some breweries will ship.

I don't know how good the bourbon is but that Black Label bottle is $61 at my local Total Wine so it does seem like a really good deal.
