What should a Bombergers cost? Saw six behind the counter today. The owner wasn’t there and the price said 119999. We couldn’t tell if it was meant to be $119 or $199.

I have a couple different years. If I remember, I paid $109 or $119. Something like that. But I wouldn’t be surprised if they were $199 at some stores.

Hoping the toasted barrel will give me some good juju in the C923 hunt. All my typical locals were sold out almost instantly :(

At a “happy hour” and over heard someone talking about how they were on the barrel pick team for this. 99% corn bourbon, quite decent, and not at all corn on the cob.

The ECBP c923 is making more waves on the secondary market than I’ve ever seen from an ECBP.
How can that be? This is going to make me buy a bottle but I have never liked any EC (except the 18yr) let alone most Heaven Hill products. I remember when 520 was a top rated whiskey of the year. Think I have three unopened bottles. If I ever host a meet up those will be out for consumption.

Edit: that’s not a shot at people liking it. I just don’t understand how an available product can be making waves in secondary.

Typical ECBP is 80-90 secondary, which may or may not see any action at that price. C923 is listing at 120 and getting a ton of action in the posts I see. So these are not gigantic waves. Just the biggest waves I’ve ever seen from this product. That’s all.

Yeah I don’t follow the secondary market so was curious. Also had to look it up and saw 13 yr age and high proof so I guess it makes some sense.

I suspect being "available" is a relative term. Either relative to where you live or if you are including secondary. I can say that I have been very actively seeking this (ECBP C923) out for two months, and it's definitely not available in my area in retail stores. Several locations have told me that when they get a couple of cases in, it's immediately gone. It never makes it to the shelf.

Had a good Saturday. Can’t take pictures because I’ve dropped my phone a few too many times.

Eagle Rare
Weller 12
Weller Full Proof
EHT Barrel Proof
And now seeing this post, I understand your earlier comment... Clearly we have major regional differences. I have not seen an available bottle of any of those four in over a year. Again, actively looking for all of them.

Gift from my dad, a cask strength offering from Still Austin. Packs a punch! Incredible nose, deep and dark caramel and warm vanilla notes. Crazy chewy with dark oak barrel char on the palate, but with sweet brown sugar notes in the background, as well as just of bit of black cherry. The finish is long and peppery and continues to dry as it sits. High octane but very flavorful.

I love the regular cask strength and have seen the single barrels at total wine. Might need to grab one.

Love, love, love how delicious these are.

So I'm new to this bourbon journey. Normally I'm a scotch guy. Just finished this Four Roses at an unexpected poker game. So so poker chips, so so bourbon but great for old fashions. Now to my first experience with rhe barrel proof EC and this is great stuff!!!
