Damn this bottle is really sneaky good. The flavors just build and build as it sits, sweet and spicy with great dry oak notes and drinks effortlessly. It's the kind of bottle that you turn around and it's gone before you know it.Went to Costco tonight for the first time like 15 years (we were gifted a membership). Holy shit that place is a clusterfuck. Needed a very strong pour after getting home....

I struggle to even find the regular releases. And I live in the fourth largest city in the US. I couldn't accumulate all those if I worked at it 20 hours a week.I’d say it’s a mix of local stores and private whiskey groups
Maybe this is a sign that the boom is over?
It makes sense, especially with all the new brands and the expansion of the older distilleries.Maybe this is a sign that the boom is over?
Lol, how gross. Meanwhile here in Jersey, stores are knifing each other for the like 12 bottles that the state gets - just to put them behind glass @ $400 a pop.....
If I walked into my walmart and saw this I might pass out
I’m a big fan of that Bulleit 12yr. I bought 2 and after cracking one, I went back for another just in case they disappear for another 4-5 years like the first run did.
Saw your post. Saw the bottle on the shelf… double checked your post, and got one.I’m a big fan of that Bulleit 12yr. I bought 2 and after cracking one, I went back for another just in case they disappear for another 4-5 years like the first run did.
MD is the same way (except it’s only $360 here… )Lol, how gross. Meanwhile here in Jersey, stores are knifing each other for the like 12 bottles that the state gets - just to put them behind glass @ $400 a pop.....
I remember passing up RHF and EHT because $40-50 seemed outrageous to me. I did grab a Pappy 12 for $60 though...
So, I downloaded an app to track everything. Not sure if anyone uses this or something like it, but it’s called “OnlyDrams”. Scan the bottle, click on “view bottle” and add to your collection. Not everything is in there, but you can add details on store/barrel picks. You can also share lists and such with other users. It’s free too…

You can even let it pick your next pour (and apply filters too. )

So, tonight I scanned in just my bottles from Buffalo Trace. I didn’t account for store picks, which would definitely add value.I don’t want to know my collection’s value. But I guess I now have a project for this weekend.
Fryeday flight day! As I type this up the pours are being randomized in the next room for me. Curious to see which comes out on top blind!
