The Best of Class Bourbon is Larceny, Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Barrel Proof A124
The ADI Judging Panel described the bourbon as featuring:
Pronounced brown sugar, caramel, and fruity aromas on the nose. It’s sweet on the palate, featuring tropical fruit flavors along with the typical bourbon notes of caramel, vanilla, and well-seasoned oak. The finish is long and sweet with a lingering fruity note.

Do you find the single barrel to be noticeably better than the standard cask strength? Been thinking about picking up one or the other. Price difference here is $72/$62.
Back at it tonight, now that the standard bottle has had a few weeks to breath.

Still Austin Cask Strength Bourbon - Standard vs Single Barrel
Standard
Nose: Sweet cherries, vanilla honey, hints of cola and a bit of cinnamon.
Palate: Sweet fruit (apricot/peach), vanilla and cola up front that very quickly dries out ans gets oaky with pepper and some baking spices. Oily mouthfeel
Finish: medium to long, very dry and peppery with some rye baking spices and a slight hint of mint.
Single Barrel
Nose: Dark black cherries, rich vanilla, oak, barrel char, dark brown sugar. Sublte hints of cola and cinnamon as well.
Palate: very similar to the nose, dark sweet caramel with cherries and rich vanilla. Quickly turns drier and darker with charred oak. Richly flavorful and viscous and chewy.
Finish: lots of dry oak and barrel char, black pepper and hints of rye.
Final verdict:
For me, the darker, richer notes on the single barrel are worth the premium, it's a more complex offering that packs more flavor. I feel like that bottle is priced appropriately ($80 iirc, and I have like 4 of them lol). The standard bottle @ $50 is a great value.
Hoping to catch a glimpse of the northern lights tonight.... cheers all!
