I know a lot of folks don't like this bottle, but it's definitely grown on me. Crazy combo of sweet toasted almond and spicy cinnamon.

Best scotch and bourbon for a reasonable price imho would be balvenie 12 (~$70) and Jefferson's Reserve (~$60) respectively

I've never heard of that bourbon. Unless you mean Jefferson's Reserve. If so, I think it's pretty ordinary, and kinda expensive for a 90P bottle.

Balvenie 12 is good, not great. I’d spend a little more for clynelish 14. Or something peaty like Laphroaig 10 or Lagavulin 16

Jefferson’s reserve is subpar for its price. There literally dozens of <$60 bottles that Jefferson’s couldn’t even compete with. But Jefferson’s presidential select is pretty great but not for its price. I still have my 25year jps 200ml

I think they taste very good and are incredibly smooth. Whiskey is a very "to each their own" subject

Ohh so happy to have found this thread. Big whiskey fan in general here, and personally vale or bang for your buck is a top priority. My daily drinker right now is Four Roses Single Barrel, Rittenhouse Rye for Old Fashioned's, Dalwhinnie 15 for Scotch, JW Blue and Monkey Sholder for blended and Redbrest 12 for Irish.

Welcome to the best thread here. Lol

All are great choices. Rittenhouse Rye makes excellent cocktails.

All good choices. If you're happy with those.... run. Run fast. And don't look back....

I posted up above regarding some TW sales. I went by the store today to pick up a couple of them, and found a few more pretty awesome values. I purchased all four of these bottles for a total of just under $160 before tax! All of these are normally between low 50s to high 60s. All are bottles I've been wanting to try, especially the Still Austin and the Frey Ranch. Who knew there were whiskey sales!!!
