Royal Flush
Same here. Haven't started s3 yet
As soon as I finish the Maria Bamford show I'll start them.@Chicken Rob this series finished last week and it finished very strongly imo. There are a couple of meh episodes, but I really like where it's going. I'd say more, but I don't want to spoil.
If anyone hasn't bothered yet, it's worth a watch. If anyone is thinking of signing up for Hulu, this and 11.22.63 are worth it alone even if you cancel right after you finish both.

Just started Lady Dynamite, but was too tired to make it through the first episode. Attempt number two coming soon. How are you liking it?
Were five episodes deep into 11.22.63. Good call. Excellent series. The wife, boy and I all are really enjoying it.
Anyone watch the first two episodes of Animal Kingdom? I was interested since it's based on one of my favorite movies of the last decade. I'm not quite as enthralled as some critics seem to be so far, but we'll see how it goes. I'll watch a few more episodes for sure.
Some of the scenes from the first episode are literally lifted word-for-word out of the film and some aspects of the show diverge significantly. I'm fine with both. I like the sexual tension that surrounds Ellen Barkin's character. Super creepy.
It's a little unfortunate that they're trying to directly recreate some of the stuff from the film because a few of those in the film - by Jacki Weaver, Ben Mendelsohn, Joel Edgerton - are just towering performances that are almost always going to be impossible to equal. Even Guy Pearce and Sullivan Stapleton had a certain thing going on with them in the film that is tough to match even if they weren't quite to the level of the three mentioned above.
Definitely worth a watch, though. I'm hoping that the characters are able to grow as season one progresses.

I watched it. Pretty meh so far.
I like the kid from Peaky Blinders but his character on AK just seems boring thus far.
I haven't seen Peaky Blinders, but I think all the performances other than Ellen Barkin's are pretty mediocre so far. Definitely check out the movie before getting too much further in the series. As far as crime films go, it's near Goodfellas imo.
I'm two seasons deep into VEEP. I'm enjoying it. Its not "Binge" worthy. I'm watching an episode or two whenever time is available.
I tried and stopped after half a season despite my decades-long crush on Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Wasn't bad, but wasn't nearly as good as some had pitched to me.
This new show Westworld looks pretty amazing.
Those interview segments were quite good. The standup was good, but the interview was really great.Stewart Lee operates on a different level. Oft a slow burner but well worth the time investment.

Colleen and I caught the first episode of "Outcast" last night. We really liked it. It appears to be about a dude trying to figure out why demon possessions have been fucking with him his entire life. If your looking for a happy go lucky show then this isn't it.
My only complaint is that I thought the acting could have been slightly better with a few of the characters.
Looks to be a solid show.
I just read a review on a new HBO comedy that is coming out. "Vice Principles", http://www.cinemablend.com/televisi...hbo-comedy-is-hilarious-and-completely-insane I'm interested to see Walton Goggins take on a pure comedic role. I thought he was great in Justified.
Is anyone watching bloodline on Netflix?
Love the cast. High production values. But I'm struggling to find interest in much of the writing.
Anyone watch episode 1 of The Night Of on HBO yet?
I finally watched last night (it's been available "early" on HBO for a week or so) and holy shit was it good. Written by Richard Price (Clockers, Sea of Love, The Wire, tons and tons of great books) and co-starring John Turturro who is phenomenal in his brief first episode appearance. Evidently James Gandolfini was originally set to take his role, but I can't imagine he'd have been better. Different, sure, but not better.
It's only going to be 8 episodes and 1 season IIRC. Must watch imo.
